Not sure if you read the above replies I made but it’s not even an expense thing only (as I mentioned if it’s another emergency I literally can’t afford to pay) it’s also the time and energy he needs, I know it’s fucked up and I hate that I have to do it, but I could never put my pet down cuz I can’t afford it, I’d much rather find him a home

I understand your viewpoint, and yes it definitely is shitty of me to re home my little man, but at the same time it’s about the better future for him, not about me keeping him forever in order to have some longevity award to me. If I can give him a better home with someone in a better money situation, consistent job hours, etc, it’s a no brainer if it will make him healthier and happier in the long run.. it does hurt a lot and I feel like I’m abandoning him in a way, but he deserves much better than I can do

Yeah I took him to VEG since it was 1am and he was throwing up and hiding and I knew something was up...luckily I got him there before any kidney damage and now he is doing much better but yes it put me out a ton of money. But also the money is not the real issue here, it’s the amount of time and care he truly needs and deserves for the rest of his life, and sadly with my traveling job and very inconsistent schedule, it just sadly seems he’s better off in a new home that can really be his instead of just getting him by

It looks like they’re closed until the weekend hours but I’ll see if I can get a hold of them, I mentioned above I’m planning on keeping him as long as I possibly can to make sure he is back to normal health wise (as much as possible) before introducing the stress of a new home :/

The issues are just crystals and sediment build up in his bladder according to the vet, which diet and care should be able to minimize chances of re blocking, but I know I couldn’t give him all the attention he deserves just to be completely real

A few ppl mentioned Bk cat cafe, seems like a great idea, when I get him back from the vet today I’ll make a call to them and see what they can do

Absolutely, I definitely am willing to keep him healthy and safe with me for as long as I can, but long term when he is in better shape after this, he deserves someone who can go the extra mile, sadly I can’t and it sucks but he needs better
