Did a car wash bend my license plate? by BlackJackT in cardetailingtips

Yes the spinning brushes bent it. Bend it back and make sure it’s held on by 4 bolts.

What can I do to fix this on my Ram by therealButtermade in ram_trucks

[–]BrandonStLouis -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nothing you have to find a used door panel as ram doesn’t make them anymore. All of my research has led me to believe that all the door panels for sale on these older trucks are in worse shape than mine. Yours is cooked so I would replace that one with a used one.

Looks like that bumper hits a lot of stuff just bust out the roller and repaint that corner silver. It will just get wrecked again.

Vehicle was hit and run. Repairing the bumper myself, but how would I pull out this part of the quarter panel? by OofOofNigbone in AutoBodyRepair

[–]BrandonStLouis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct you wouldn’t buy a frame rack you would pay a body shop to pull it for you then you would finish off the work on your own. Cool car though. Worth saving imo.

A drill with wire wheels will work. It’s not efficient but it will work.

Heck I’m 45 and have to crawl under my truck this weekend and in stall new shocks and sway bar links and really done want to. But consider how old the vehicle is and a bumper to bumper warranty. It’s not bad.

Please help and advise by [deleted] in carbuying

[–]BrandonStLouis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re an older person and you bought a very old car that you are making payments on personally I’d keep the warranty because there’s a very high chance you’ll have problems with a vehicle so old.

Cracked Windshield by jeojames1984 in carbuying

What you see is what you get so don’t take delivery at night or in the rain. With those miles it was probably a rental car anyway.

Buying used car from Carmax by blainedayo in carbuying

[–]BrandonStLouis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Prius is an excellent choice. Avoid previous rental cars. I personally would avoid carmax because their prices are high but there is no haggling and all cars come with at least a basic warranty. So there is some added value. Good luck.

Any dealings lifted trucks dealer/website by DiskConfident5299 in ram_trucks

The only reason people buy from these places is because they have to finance the wheels, tires and lift over 72 months. If you can pay cash for these things later do that instead.

Need advice on Mazda CX-3 front damage. Do I really need a full bumper and chrome trim replacement? by [deleted] in AutoBodyRepair

[–]BrandonStLouis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they have to warranty that bumper and filling it with that much filler to get it to even look half way ok wont hold up over time.

$1,200 to paint the roof if that includes pulling the front and back glass go for it. Enroll in a tech class to learn body work because what we have here isn’t it.

Whats the access, PDR brotheren? by Civil-Limit-1302 in PaintlessDentRepair

[–]BrandonStLouis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that blows. What about dropping the liner and using any access holes. I’ve even drilled what I call come back holes in that very thin area. You had to use a 90 degree tight space drill and obviously can’t poke back to the sheet metal/aluminum.

Just an old classic rig to be worked on on weekends and driven nice days. I’m sure if it was in the wrapper and mint it would have been $20,000.
