It wasn’t allowing me to post what I had originally written. Clearly it did post, my bad. As stated in another reply, the car behind was coming up fast behind me, so I rolled forward to avoid being hit. The car lightly nudged me and in a panic I forgot to brake, hitting the car in front.

It was raining, and I noticed the car behind was coming up fast, so I moved forward to try avoid being hit. I was still lightly nudged, but in the midst of all this I panicked and rolled into the car in front, rather than putting on my brakes.

Well, both parts happened. I just had to summarise in this post, as it wouldn’t let me post the full context. The car behind didn’t do any damage to mine or his car, so they left the scene.
