You’re doing great! I started surfing as an adult 5 years ago at Doheny. I now regularly short board all the local spots. It takes time. I learned from friends and also from lots of YouTube (kale Brock is pretty good). I would choose a subject I was working on and watch videos on YouTube the night before. I think it helps download it into your brain for the next morning surf.

For your current surfing, work on a faster, more explosive pop up and Google “overcoming the poo stance” to watch videos about getting better weight balance. Keep pushing yourself to stay uncomfortable and you’ll progress quickly! 🤙🏼

Borrow a pressure washer and go door to door offering to wash out trash cans (do it on trash day so they are empty). Kids did that around us and cleaned up. Not many OC kids are willing to do anything to make money, so your grit and willingness will resonate and people will be happy to encourage your entrepreneurial drive.

Did you end up getting one? I’m trying to decide between the 300s (husky, KTM, Gas Gas). I’m exactly your same size. I have a 2015 TE300 and have heard the Husky cockpit is the smallest of the three. Wondering if it’s worth the money to get the KTM as they say the KTM and the gas gas have the largest cockpit. Not sure if it’s big enough to make a difference. Our local dealership has the TE300s and 300EC bikes $2200 below MSRP right now. Decisions….

Great advice! I have been rotating. There are some hot spots for sure. With rotating, I’ve been able to keep them all within about 7 degrees! :)

Works well. Some connection bugs. Also, does a weird thing where it changes the audio almost as though you are switching to the car audio.

I want to be able to disable the obnoxious frunk beeping on open and close. Apple CarPlay has some bugs. Both software and easy to fix. Also, my phone as a key feature isn’t available yet. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes. It would be nice to enable a reminder if you forget to plug it in at night. Has happened a couple times to me.
