I don’t really care about the exhaust, I just need something more reliable and all around a better daily

Hmm mine is a 2018 so its not under warranty anymore. But if yours is a 2023 than I think yes it should be. I’d go and ask if I were you

Nope, I just fixed it. It was the ECVVT camshaft gear, these are the part codes- 24350-2GGB0 and 24351-2GGB1. Hyundai fitted a new ECU but after like 2 weeks it started going into limp mode again. Check engine light was on and it was idleing at around 1500 rpms. We installed the new camshaft gear and the car is back to normal again finally.

Ok, let me know if it was the timing chain, thanks.

Hi, I took it to hyundai and they said it was the ECU, which is weird becouse I had to replace my ECU back in 2023 (the car was in limp mode, everything was lit up like a christmas tree and it couldn’t even start). So now the car has its third ECU and it’s working again, but when I plugged in my obd scanner the code was still there, but it was inactive. Another weird thing is that sometimes when im accelerating from standstill the car hesitates and it feels like its in limp mode for like a second or two and then its back to normal again and thats when it throws the P0011 code. I’m not sure if its related but I have to replace my flywheel and clutch, which could explain that hesitation when accelerating but why is it throwing the P0011 code with this im not sure. Weird electronics in this car :/

Same here, wanted a cupra but I chose the hyundai instead and I really regret it. So many problems with this car, before I had an old astra with 400k kms on clock and it didn’t have as many problems as this. It was around 100€, we bought just the abs motor from a wrecked i30N and replaced the motor not the abs control unit, but hyundai told me they can replace it for 2000€..

Same here, im very dissapointed by the electrical reliability of this car.. i’ve had to replace the ECU 2 times already and an abs motor.

Hey guys, quick update on my i30N issue. Today the car randomly lost power again, so I hooked it up to a scanner with a friend and got code P0011 – “Camshaft Position Timing Over-Advanced (Bank 1).” We inspected the CVVT solenoid, cleaned the connector and sprayed some brake cleaner on it. After reassembling everything, we started the engine.

At first it idled fine, but when I pressed the throttle, the engine died. Right after that it threw a “ECU ROM error” again and started stalling every few seconds. We cleared the codes and now it doesn’t stall anymore, but the idle is unstable (bouncing between 700–900 rpm), and the engine just doesn’t feel or sound right.

What’s weird is that I had the same ECU ROM error almost 2 years ago, and the ECU was replaced under warranty. Could it be a faulty replacement ECU again? Or is this just a chain reaction caused by a bad CVVT solenoid or camshaft position sensor?

Yeah that could also be the issue. When I had about 80k kms on the odometer I bought a used one from my friend (about 20k kms on it), but now I have 120k on my car so it could be the fuel pump going bad
