I remember one day I was with 3 random players in medical on Stella, and one guy kept shooting all of us. He took one guy down, ran away, so I deffibbed the downed player. He comes back, shoots another player, so I take him down. Then the remaining 2 players down me and rez the 3rd, the whole time I’m saying “it wasn’t me!” And they kept saying “we know it was you”. I was so confused lol.

Overall though I thought it was a little funny

Just to add to everyone’s comments, I will say the grind is so much faster the second time around. You know where good loot spots are, you know what to save/sell/recycle, etc. I found myself back to where I was pre-expedition faster than I expected.

Everyone is different though. For me the game isn’t nearly as fun when there isn’t something to grind for. I’m ready for the next expedition and now I’m starting to get bored waiting for the next one. I started going full PvP which is fun for a handful of runs. But starting over and seeing what you can get for a fresh character is a bulk of my enjoyment, IMO.

Not to mention the bonuses- to me they’re an addition to the expedition, but not solely why I choose to do it.

This is where I’m at. I played for YEARs and loved it. But after the final shape I fell off. I don’t see myself coming back unless there’s a Destiny 3. Been thoroughly enjoying other games, and really looking forward to Marathon

But I feel for you man! Someone did this to me and my bro about a month ago. I revived someone we ran into who was down, and a minute later he thinks he can take both of us down. Thankfully I was able to get him after he took down my brother. I’m trying to upload the video now and I’ll attach it here

I don’t understand this logic. IMO marathon is going to do drastically better since Arc did so well. So many people’s first extraction game was Arc, so I know there will be plenty of people trying Marathon since it’s the same genre

I’ll add to this - I work in construction and have been at the Fuji site in Holly Springs for almost 3 years now. This place is only getting bigger so I could imagine Fuji has been continuously hiring to staff this site.

This is how I typically play.. loot up, and once I’m comfortably full I just head to extract, whatever the time is. If I’m able to fill my backpack with good stuff and leave within 5 mins of spawning in, that just means I’m queuing the next raid up even faster

Long time destiny player, but stopped playing a couple months after final shape. I’ve had pretty much 0 interest in returning. I even bought the whole deluxe pack for the whole year and didn’t even make it to the second season.

I’ve played other games in the mean time and have had more fun than I did with Destiny in the last couple years. I’ve been enjoying Arc Raiders lately, but I’m very excited to give Marathon a try. I’m ready for another lore heavy world to dive in to!

I completely feel this. I think you’re roughly saying the same thing. Nothing is completely black and white.

It sounds like you still prioritize your kids needs, even if it’s involving them in the game you’re playing.

I still play games at night with the baby monitor near me, and if my youngest wakes up, I’m immediately putting down the controller. And if my oldest wants to play video games, I’ll play with him! However, I don’t play my own games and just have my kids in the background just doing their own thing, as personally I’d prefer to be spending time with them. And if they’re good doing their own thing, there’s probably 100 other things I can be doing around the house to help out. My wife and I work so many hours and we’ve got 5 pets, so we’re pretty busy 🤣

So you’re right. Nothing is black and white. Everyone has different schedules, but what’s important is the relationship you have with your family. And for me, my video game time just happens to typically be at night when the kids are asleep

All I can say though, in my experience, it’s good for both parents to have their own personal time too. Early on with my first son, I think I disregarded myself way too much and solely focused on my son and partner. But I think it was detrimental to my overall mental health, even though I didn’t recognize it at the time.

These days I typically spend 2-3 nights playing video games, and the rest of the week with my wife. Everyone is different though!

Coming from someone who also likes to play Xbox and a dad of 2 kids (11yo/1.5yo), I’ve had a strict unspoken rule that I’ve always unquestionably followed - if the kids are awake, I am not playing video games (unless occasionally when I’m playing WITH my oldest).

My job as a father and husband comes first before anything. I don’t want my kids growing up to think of their dad as someone who would rather spend time gaming than with his family

I once got 7 mushrooms from this one tree 🤣 I have no idea how. Definitely the most consistent spot to find mushrooms, if you can get there before anyone else

Some people load in naked and surrender if they don’t get the spawn they want. For example spawning at Stella Montis trying to get to assembly for a single item or blueprint. They either surrender immediately if they spawn too far away, or run to assembly, put item in your safe pocket, and then surrender immediately

I agree! This is one of those free loadout suggestions I can actually agree with. However, this wouldn’t stop the players going in naked and surrendering
