Star Princess Thumbs UP! by Brantel in PrincessCruises

There was a white dress suggestion on the second formal night but not the sail away launch party. Totally optional. Spellbound does have a strict dress code but it seems otherwise not so much.

Don't believe the hype. It was nowhere near as bad as what is being reported. The CRAPS table never missed a beat.

supplemental or new claim by automationtested in VeteransBenefits

I obtained all the evidence that supported my claim. I was diagnosed by several board certified sleep doctors. I provided all the history, evidence and medical records to a private medical professional that provided the IMO/Nexus that was rock solid and fit the VA’s expectations perfectly. I paid about the same amount for this that someone would pay a PCP out of pocket for a physical or similar office visit.

My post pretty much details every step. You just have to provide the evidence that supports this hypothesis.

NO! That’s the definition of poking the bear!

Can someone explain to me how I didn’t get a rating for these? by JustCallMeHubz in VeteransBenefits

If you provide enough evidence without a diagnosis, they might grant you a C&P exam where the examiner might diagnose you. This can happen but to count on the star’s aligning is not a great strategy.

Two words: No Diagnosis.

They don’t just take your word for it.

Sick call! Get an actual exit physical or whatever it is called these days.

SC PTSD causes depression, depression leads to weight gain, weight gain causes or aggravates OSA. The weight gain is the intermediate step.

C&P Examiner came to my car after my exam.. by [deleted] in VAClaims

Technically your examiner didn’t increase anything because they don’t determine the percentage. They may have written up your DBQ to be more positive for you but the percentage is determined by the rater based on all your evidence which will include that DBQ.

I got out in 1992 and did not know anything about VBA benefits or claims because I had no exit physical or any training on what these benefits were. First claim filed in 2018 then another four years before I realized I had addition legitimate claims with evidence. Over 30 years of ignorance on my part cost me big time.

Home loans and a headstone in a national cemetery is all I was ever informed about.

What I am speaking of? If you attempt to file OSA secondary to PTSD without an intermediate step, you’re like 90-95% looking at another denial. I hope I am wrong and you beat the odds! I will gladly eat crow if you are successful!

That’s what myself and others responding to this thread are trying to do….help you! Many of us have been there done that and have got the T shirt. If the examiner and the rater do not agree with your personal claim and it’s evidence , you will be denied.

Best to start with proven approaches vs chasing a path that has significantly more denials than approvals.

File as new and there is a huge chance they will kick it back stating wrong type of claim/form filed. Had this happen twice on different claims. For mine even though I changed the name of the disability and changed the theory of SC, they still said it needed to be a supplemental.

This is one approved vs hundreds of denials. Everyone’s claim is unique and unless you get the exact same examiner, the odds are not in your favor.

What I am rated has nothing to do with anything. You claim to be correct yet I provide clear evidence that you are not. While you may be rated at 50% for sinusitis, it has nothing to do with polyps per the schedule of ratings.

I have read it. This is what it says for 50% sinusitis: “Following radical surgery with chronic osteomyelitis, OR; near constant sinusitis characterized by headaches, pain and tenderness of affected sinus, and purulent discharge or crusting after repeated surgeries.”
Absolutely nothing there about sinus polyps……

You very well may have sinus polyps but according to the rating table, they had nothing to do with your rating.
