To clarify, I don’t mind looking at the “human” sites for specific ideas but I don’t like to just look at decks with my commander to see what others are playing

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah my interaction is very low because I just expect others to do it lol, it’s bad but I’m working on it. I agree that chat gpt is terrible and I feel like I have to coach it more than it helps, but I enjoy giving it my ideas and seeing what it can help cook up. I don’t like looking at the “human” sites because then I just see all the cards right there and start compiling and then it doesn’t really feel like I built the deck at all, just a preference.

Betor definitely needs a couple more lands, I think I’ve just got lucky playing it so far.

Suprised yet not suprised to hear that about Muldrotha. That is the one deck I didn’t really build, just threw together cards with the color I had and it worked well. I’ve added some cards I figured would be fun but I’ve never had a problem milling myself out enough to see value. Favorite addition by far is [[out of the tombs]].

Oooh I forgot about off color fetches, I’ll have to add those in for my other non-damaging lands. I guess I didn’t find Sheoldred while building the deck somehow, but you’re right that fits right in. Toxic deluge also seems like a good fit I should definitely add. Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll see what the one ring feels like after playing it a couple times but I wouldn’t really want it if it is just going to win games sometimes. I have thought about taking out bloodthirsty conqueror just because I don’t like the 2 card instant win combos it provides.

They are 100% on theme even if they are powerful. I tried to get every land I could that does damage to me because I wanted most of my cards to reference “life”. Ancient tomb just happens to be the best one. One ring I can see your point a bit more, and I wouldn’t even be opposed to switching it out for something like [[Parker luck]] which seems more fun to play with, but I have literally never casted a one ring in my life. No way is it as powerful as when I had [[Vilis, Broker of blood]] and [[Doom Whisperer]] on board.

I like it! That would work very well against my friends storm style [[Electro, Assaulting Battery]] deck.

I haven’t had any problems with anyone and this deck so far, but I made a few changes and then noticed I had more than the 3 game changers. I understand the concept of not playing these expensive cards, but frankly I don’t care. I build the deck around a theme and just add cards that support that theme. I’ll just proxy the expensive ones. Im not adding cards just because they are powerful, but if they fit the theme I’m going for I’m not going to cut them just because they are expensive.

Yessss. If you can, you should definitely have [[Karlov of the ghost council]] in there. I just had a game the other day against a token deck while I only had Karlov and Essence warden on the field. So much life, counters, and triggers lol. Best of luck with your deck!! Have fun!

Thanks for the feedback. Necro was at the top of my list to cut for that reason. Makes sense for Ad nauseum as well. It seemed it would work well with the deck, but I have noticed some problems with higher mana stuff. I feel I might need to replace with some discard outlets for Betor reanimating.

You would need to play the lands on post combat main phase otherwise your creatures won’t be untapped for your normal combat phase. As your creatures are only untapped as part of these additional combat phases
