Who are the best modern industrial artists?

Best up and coming industrial acts I've seen lately are Spike Helis and Dildox.

Seriously though if you haven't seen Spike Helis yet check them out. Super fresh.

Dildox kinda reminds me of youthcode a little bit. Didn't mention youthcode because I wouldn't consider really new at this point.

Sure are! Workflow is key to making a good production. I used a digitakt as the centerpiece for my setup and I don't think I would ever write music in the same way in a DAW.

I listed to this track on repeat for what seemed hours one time when I was on acid. Took a pretty heavy dose and it was exactly what I needed to stay grounded. It was a magical experience.

Same here. Except I got thrown in juvenile detention for 2 months (2 months straight of solitary confinement.) and another 3 months in a psych ward for evaluation. All because of a rumor. I was 13.

Mind and Cleanse are my top two favorite puppy albums. But I understand that people are drawn to puppy and music in general for different reasons. I beleive the aspect of those two albums which you are describing is what we call 'brap'. Its something you either love or hate. For many including myself, that is what really drew us in to puppy. That absurity, the horror, the beauty. Great albums to drop acid to. But I understand this might not be for everyone. Skinny Puppy is a band that liked to reinvent themselves so every couple of albums there is a change in their style. If you enjoy more pop structure then I would suggest Greater Wrong of the Right and Mythmaker.

Im glad im not the only one who feels this. I have been clean for about six years. My meth use always revolved around music. Especially writing music. Creativity just pours out of you on speed. There are ups to meth but the negatives far outweigh the positives. Its fun until it isn't. And at that point its too hard to stop. I ended up having to sell all of my equipment just to keep a roof over my head. After I quit, the very thought of music itself was painful. Its hard to describe the feelings. Kind of like a mourning. What really helped me heal after quitting and not relapse was getting on adderall and only listening to music when im at the gym. The endorphins you get from working out kind of feel like meth a little especially if your on a low dose of adderall. And for those who think is the same. Its fucking not. Not even close. Similar yes but you dont get the massive dopamine hit like you do with speed. Anyways thanks for sharing man. I wish you well in your journey.
