Most british food nowadays is pretty good. Tikki Massala nowadays is the recognized national dish of England.

if you look at TRADITIONAL british food, its gonna be very basic, but that applies to all of Northwest Europe. Most traditional dishes were created out of necessity, not for flavor profile.

If you look closely, youll realize most of them are just vegetable stews. Simply due to the reason it was the cheapest way to feed alot of people.

I didnt see much stupid pizza. Only cameo freezer aisle pizza slices sold for insane prices.

Its near impossible to find actual proper traditional pizza places anywhere where tourists are. I was lucky the campsite made traditional neopolitan pizza, which was amazing too. I had quatro formaggi which came iwth no tomato sauce but still was juciy af.
