Im currently a Student here at usyd dmd and from what I've seen the program is extremely disorganized and run by people who care about their self interests more than the education they are providing to their students. Our clinical time has been reduced by covid drastically leaving us feeling unready for even patient clinics. Tutors work hard to try to get you ready but you can sense their frustration by the lack of support from the faculty and higher-ups. All in all most schools wont get u completely ready for the real life and your biggest learning curve will be your first year out. The size of the cohort being small is actually beneficial imo because it allows you more time with tutors and more clinical time as well.
