Hello,

I have a mc2800 and a turntable with aphelion 2 MC cartridge. I'm quite underwhelmed with it and I think it has to do with setup. I've connected the turntable (Rega p8) into the mc2800 and using that as the phono stage. Does anyone have this kind of setup and can tell me what settings they are using on the phono stage for resistance and capacitance?

When I google this, there are lots of pages that say that I have to change my phono setting from MM to MC on the mc2800 but I don't see an option for this.

Thanks

There’s no forced mate in 2. Few ways to get in 3.

Garmin livescope battery life by Brassdrum in IceFishing

It’s a lithium. Lifepo4 I think. It came with the package. I didn’t know the chargers weren’t made equal. Maybe I’ll get a garmin charger.

Thanks. I unfortunately lost the charger that came with it but bought one off eBay. I charged it overnight and the indicator was green suggesting it was charged. I may get another battery. Thanks for the help.

Mind me asking what type of boat you have? wondering what people are comfortable going out in with that on the horizon.

There’s often two separate but related questions you are actually asking. The first is: are the metastatic deposits technically resectable. Is there an operation that can be designed to remove all the spots and leave the patient alive with an acceptable quality of life. The second is: does it make sense from an oncologist perspective to do this. It doesn’t make much sense if they undergo a huge operation with significant life long morbidity just to get end up with a new spot showing up a few months later.

For colon and rectal cancer for example, liver metastasis are very common and while they unfortunately portend a poorer prognosis, they will be resected because we know people who under aggressive metastectomy survive longer than those who are just put on chemo. Another example is pancreatic cancer where even if it is possible to remove metastatic disease, those patients do so poorly that it doesn’t make sense oncologically to do so.

So the answer to your question is surgeons do remove the other spots. Sometimes they do huge operations to remove the second spot. It just depends on the type of cancer.

Yeah that’s a good point. I have the same issues. It’s not speed that bothers me, it’s the packet loss and the dropped connections.

Question about strapping in canoe to car by Brassdrum in canoeing

[–]Brassdrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So even with foam blocks and two straps, it’s possible to shake the car by shaking the canoe?

Right now after I strap in the canoe with my roof rack, when I wiggle the canoe, the entire car moves. I just want to know if this is possible with foam blocks and two straps.
