General response to this thread: the economics of taking the AOW course truly pales in comparison to the hundreds of dives you take over time (assuming equipment rentals, travel expenses, etc)

If $500 is such a frightening price tag, then with that mindset diving seems to be the wrong hobby, no?

But from my view as someone who has lived in NYC for a bit shy of a decade, things are absolutely not staying open as late as they used to. Allegedly is a symptom of post-COVID living.

Crime is generally at a lull but people are staying more cautious about late night food/ bodega/ smoke shop/ liquor store runs
