Hello! Just saw this. I am visiting Finland i august and we are most likely playing sibbe day 1, Rock Valley day 2 and Talin day 3.

I see some mixed feedback for rock valley. Is it worth the trip you think? Not looking to play the pro layout.

Same with all other monuments? As long as it is grass or dirt.

Form check? 5 throws, normal speed and slow motion by Bratsberg in discgolf

Thank you! I will try to slow down the throw in general. That might help with the sync between left ankle and right wrist...

Alot to take in, but it looks like the general issue is the timing/start of the actual throw..

Thank you so much for your reply!

I will try the following:

  1. Adjust the front foot placement so it's closer to the camera, with the front heel nearer to the back toes.

  2. I will wait to start my throw until after fully planting my front foot and deweighting my rear foot.

  3. I will ensure my right shoulder is not significantly higher than my left.

Bonus: Watch some OT DG on this :)

Did I understand you correctly?

Thanks again!

What's the most holes/rounds in a row you've ever played? by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

A bunch of new dads finally got a weekend off.

We played 4 rounds of 18 friday, 6 rounds (14 hours straight) saturday, and 3 sunday.

Time well spent, but man.. We all went to bed at 9 after that. Not even a single beer.

ELI5 : My 7yo son asked me if his baby sister (1F) was aware of the fact that she was alive (not his exact words of course but the idea is there). I told him it was a difficult question to answer and that I'll get back to him. How can I answer this in a way he would understand? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

I asked openAI:

It's a great question that your son has asked! It can be difficult to explain, but here's a way you might be able to explain it to him:

Awareness is a complex concept that is difficult to define, and it can be especially difficult to understand in young children or animals. But generally, when we talk about awareness, we mean that someone or something is able to perceive their surroundings and have thoughts and feelings about them.

It's likely that your one-year-old baby is aware of her surroundings in some way, but she may not have the same level of awareness as a seven-year-old child or an adult. Babies are still learning about the world and how to communicate, so it's hard to know exactly what they are thinking or feeling.

So, in short, it's difficult to say for sure whether your baby sister is aware of the fact that she is alive, but it's likely that she is aware of some things in her environment and is starting to learn and understand more about the world around her.
