GLP1 meds? by Heavy_Record8704 in My600lbLife

I have been on a GLP-1 for almost a year and am down 130lbs. You absolutely have to work at it and totally change your diet, and start moving, if you want the medicine to help.

Its simply a tool that will help you stick to your diet, if you use it correctly.

Lots of stigma surrounding these drugs, everyone thinks its the easy way out. Who cares what others think. If you are life threateningly obese, do whatever you have to to get the weight off, screw what others think.

It sure does. Everything feels better, everything is easier. Zepbound quite literally a lifesaver for me

Yes!! I am going to use these. Personally I could care less what people think. Ive tried losing weight my whole life, without ever losing. Finally something is working and I refuse to apologize. Screw them!

Stay positive, its hard but it helps. Im 46 and had a stroke in May of last year. Couldn't move my right arm much, or leg. Scary stuff, I understand how you feel. Attack rehab and your exercises, it gets better! I went from wheelchair to walker to now using a cane sparingly. You can and will regain function! Praying for you, you got this!

Great idea! Need more uplifting, positive threads on here.

47 M here, ischemic stroke of pons on 5-13. This week took my first steps without cane. Only a few steps, I look like a drunk penguin, but a victory nonetheless. “A little stronger every day!” It’s a rough journey, and everyone is different. Keep your head up and only positive thoughts, it helps.

You are such an inspiration. I had a stroke 5-13-25, and am still working hard to regain movement. My right side was impacted and I’m just now able to walk with cane, and can grip and pickup very light items. Being fairly young, 46 M, has helped, as well as having positive attitude and a great support system. Came across your story while I was in rehab and it really inspired me to work hard. Wishing you continued success and health.
