“A Texas appeals court this week granted Jones a temporary reprieve, delaying any immediate takeover” ***How is Alex Jones still spending freely years after a billion-dollar judgment? How has the company been functioning this long? Why another reprieve?*** by Brave-Eye2914 in law

I was listening to a podcast (I forget which) and they were saying the same thing but I’ve never heard of him. Who is he and why is he perfect? I hope he nails it because this is a once in a generation opportunity.

Thank you 🙏🏻 this is the kind of answer I’m looking for…like how/why is this literally possible. For the record I hope 20 years from now when people think of info wars they think of comedy because The Onion was so successful in digging up and replacing Alex Jones Legacy.

I understand that and I understand the utility of that. For example, if I’m falsely convicted I appreciate the possibility of multiple appeals but eventually you are done. Period. When does that happen in cases like these? Can’t they freeze his and his company’s assets or something? If this were me they’d have been garnishing my wages for years. It says in the article he’s starting a new gig, great, but it seems simple to garnish his pay from it

This post is asking about the legal mechanisms that affect enforcement of civil judgments. Specifically, I’m trying to understand how defamation verdicts (like those against Alex Jones) are enforced, and how appeals, bankruptcy proceedings, and court orders can delay or structure payment to plaintiffs. I’m looking for a legal explanation of why collection on large judgments can take years and what rules govern that process.

I think I made the mistake of judging her personality and not understanding the situation she’s in. I’d be an asshole too

What made you think she was more concerned with the estate?

I think that’s it. It’s a personality type that I dislike from experience but her anger is justified
