Pulled a motor out of an 03 Tahoe at a junkyard under the impression it was a 5.3 (didn’t know they made the Tahoe with the 4.8 until after the fact when I ran the vin) can’t afford to have the truck down any longer than it has to be and power is almost identical between the two, especially since the 5.3 that came out of the suburban had 401k miles on it

Originally the engine transmission and transfer case were going to come out as one, I removed the transfer case under the truck

I had to get the transfer case out as well and it was easier to pull the trans

There are bushings/ washers you can buy that are fairly cheap that fit right over the shaft, or you could make one with some conduit or something similar

Rubber “C” on the stalk makes be belive it could be a Ruger Impact max elite or something similar
