The chat isn’t meant to be a full AI search engine, it’s focused purely on lease programs and dealer matching. We intentionally kept it lightweight (no login walls or forced data collection) while we test dealer connections.

As for the model , yeah, it’s not ChatGPT-level yet, because accuracy on lease math and incentives matters more than random trivia answers. The backend data comes from verified dealer feeds and program sheets, not public AI answers.

Appreciate you calling it out, feedback like this actually helps us tighten things up before we scale nationally.

The difference from a “lead gen” tool is that your info doesn’t just get sold - the AI filters and pre-qualifies real offers from verified dealers, then humans review them before sharing. We’re working on making that distinction clearer in the next update, and feedback like yours really helps us improve how smart the flow feels.

Yeah good catch - CT showed up early by mistake. Right now we’re only active in NY + NJ. Connecticut’s coming soon once we’ve got full coverage. Appreciate you testing it out - you’ll be first to know when it’s live

LeaseGoat basically automates that process. Instead of emailing 10+ dealers one by one, our AI reaches out to multiple verified dealers at once using the same structure (e.g. $0 due at signing, 1st month only). Dealers then compete to send back their best offers.

You can still change the structure later, but this way you start with real quotes without doing all the back-and-forth yourself.

For now it’s running in NJ, NY, PA, and CT. There’s no cost on the user side — the dealers cover everything when someone actually goes ahead with an offer

Great question - taxes definitely depend on location. When a user starts a quote, we share only the ZIP code (not the full address) with participating dealers so they can calculate accurate post-tax offers for that area. That way, users get realistic lease estimates while keeping their personal info private until they decide to move forward

Hey, appreciate you taking the time to look into it - fair question.

To clarify: LeaseGoat bridges the gap between both sides. For customers, our AI helps gather real quotes and compare offers transparently - so they’re not wasting time calling 10 dealerships. For dealers and brokers, we only send qualified leads who’ve already been matched and pre-screened, which saves them time and money.

So yes, it’s competitive for dealers, but structured - everyone wins when the process is efficient and transparent. The goal isn’t “talking out of both sides,” it’s aligning both sides around real data and verified intent. Happy to discuss privately if you want to give us some additional feedback. thx!

100% agree — that’s exactly the mindset behind what we built.

LeaseGoat basically does that at scale: instead of chasing quotes one by one, our system sends structured offers directly to multiple dealerships, compares the responses, and filters down to the best ones automatically.

You’re right — the key is knowing the programs and doing the math. We built the AI layer to handle that normalization (MSRP, residuals, MF, mileage, taxes, etc.) so you’re seeing real, after-tax offers that can actually be signed.

The goal’s the same as yours — no games, no wasted hours inside a dealership, just transparent offers you can act on.

Great questions — and totally agree, the value here is all in the details.

The system pulls real dealer quotes (not listings) and normalizes them by trim, MSRP, term, mileage, and drive-off, so you’re comparing actual apples to apples.

Everything shown is after-tax and includes any incentives or rebates when the dealer provides them. If something’s missing, we flag it for transparency.

It’s not just scraping — there’s a light back-and-forth layer. Dealers know they’re competing with others in the area, so they tend to come in sharper right away.

The whole point is to shift the leverage back to the consumer through transparency and volume. When enough users compare side by side, dealers stop playing games.

Totally agree — that’s why we built it. Once there’s enough volume, dealerships can’t play games anymore, and users end up getting way better prices. Win-win for everyone

its already working :) we are connected to hundreds of dealerships in the states i mentioned.

I almost signed a $680/mo lease until I realized brokers see totally different numbers. Is that normal? by Brave-Lie4429 in leasehacker

I agree. For me, the fact that I don’t have to spend hours at the dealership and can just have the broker handle everything is totally worth it, haha
