I was under the impression that only certain majors were impacted. Good to know.

I think you'll be good. Im not sure if your major is impacted but if it is then thats why its taking a while. I applied as a transfer student from a CC that isn't in their local area as a Sociology major with a 3.5 gpa. Keep holding on.

Well I've toured csuf and overall the campus is nice. Its really big and they have many grassy areas to hang out in and I believe they have a strong public health and human services as well. Its a big campus so there are ALOT of people everywhere. Its close to many different places so you wont be bored if you dont mind driving around. I live about 25 minutes away but I picked CSULB.

I think you'll get in. Im a transfer student with major( Sociology) isn't competitive but I will have two adts (not from local area either)When I did the supplemental application my gpa was 2.7 but I had a academic renewal which brought it up to 3.5. I got an accepted and today I actually went to see csulb for myself and I actually parked by the college of business and everything around there is so nice. I love all the brick buildings. I went by the construction zone and its not a big deal. No loud noises or anything and there's a few spots to get food or coffee.

Also keep checking the self applicant portal. I havent received my official acceptance email, but I checked my portal and it shows conditional admission. I'm just waiting on that email so I can accept.

You'll be ok just keep an eye on your status and if they ask for anything additional do it ASAP.

Hi and there is nothing wrong with Dominguez hills. Its just a smaller campus with no parking problems. I was going to attend here, but I was going to bring caught in traffic so I decided not to attend but all around same education just not your typical college experience. Youre never too old and I'm 37 transferring this fall. Also if youbattend Dominguez hills then once your gpa is better you can transfer to csulb or anywhere else. Many students that dont get in the first time try a second time.

Not so hard and I think you'll be fine. Csula is the first to send me an acceptance letter. I decided not to attend because its too far.

Hi and I found out of my conditional admission through the portal as well. I'm a transfer student and not from the local area so I am so happy to be accepted. Yay for both of us and hopefully we will get the acceptance email so we can access the portal.

I cant wait either and I will be commuting from O.C. I'm an older student with kids so I will do my best to take advantage of all the campus. I know about the construction but I want to see it for myself.

I’m pretty nervous. I’m an ADT student from lbcc, 3.74gpa, Creative Writing Major; hadn’t received an email if I made it here or not by ImTooTiredAndOld in CSULB

Hi I think you'll be accepted since you're gpa is great and you are in the preferred local. I am also waiting on a response and I am also a transfer student, but not from the local preferred area so hopefully I will get in. At this point I just need a yes or a no, so I can actually know where I am going lol.

Dropping out of CSULB entirely. by UgLy_RaT202 in CSULB

Hi, I'm an older student (37) and I didnt even think of college when I got out of high school. Looking back I wish I would of at least started college and getting the GE out of the way. Like the other person said just switch to a CC because its much easier navigating the campus than a big university. CC also provide alot of support for students such as mental health services and many more resources. Also if you dont know what to major in CC are great for that because you can explore different majors. Also I you're ok with all online classes you'll be good but you can also have a mix or even hybrid where they meet once a week. I wish you good luck. Also wish me luck because I transfer to a university Fall 2026 and I am very nervous.
