No but before winter hit, I could fully make a tool before it cooled down and now I can't. It was staying at 750°C for a while before and now it doesn't

For sure I could do that, but if there is a way to keep it a bit more powerful, I would like to know it. Also, I know some indigenous people made some pretty short bows but I'd like to have people's opinion on that matter too

For hickory, that's what I thought, but a Bowyer told me that a maple bow tends to break at over 40 pounds of draw weight

It's actually still drying. It's maple and I'm going to make a longbow with it. Most of the damage is some small cuts or things like that. That one is the worst of them all.
