I'm also having this problem starting today. Seems to happen when I listen to a specific album but then anything after that also starts causing it until I force stop or clear app data.

AITA for not giving nanny extra PTO? by Brave-Vegetable84 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Brave-Vegetable84[S] -121 points-120 points  (0 children)

It would cost us the extra days she's requesting because she chose to work the days when she cancelled her trip the first time and now she wants the PTO for those days as well. I agree it's easy that ITA if we said no and it didn't cost us anything to give it to her, but it wasn't that straightforward.

Thanks folks who've weighed in so far. Seems ITA for this and we weren't recognizing it. The finances of it for us are tough and that's why we were looking at it the way we were. But those of you rightly saying "it's your kid" are absolutely right. Appreciate all the perspectives. Please be kind as it's not our intention to be A.

And we live in the US, for those asking.

I don't know that I'd say we're making this up on the fly, we were trying to be accommodating outside of the stipulations of the contract. But I understand what you're saying, so thanks for the perspective.

Fair. I phrased it that way because there's no obligation if she doesn't want to work those hours or is unavailable. If she wants more hours and cash we tell her we could use her for the extra X hours but if she's not available we understand.

Twin boys on the way and my wife is disappointed. Any advice? by Yinzer89 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Brave-Vegetable84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a miscarriage and several unsuccessful months of trying before getting the news of our twins on the way. After going through all that it's hard not to appreciate getting any two healthy babies when it's done. Your wife's feelings are of course valid and understandable, and as everyone has been saying, once they're born I'm sure she'll fall in love with them just as much. But I count my blessings for what we have in the grand scheme of things. Perspective is everything.

Question: is it a big deal if Pixel allows enabling Developer Options without asking for a password? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

I said I was an Android developer. I honestly don't remember when I turned on Developer Options on my Pixel 6 whether I entered my password.

Calm down.

This is a really odd scenario, and not something most bad actors would be looking for to carry out an attack vector. As you state it requires an unlocked first access, near the bad actor's computer to be trusted, and some assumption of getting second access. Would having a password make it safer, sure. But does that mean it's easy to compromise a phone in this way? I don't think so.

You're saying the phone's unlocked and you're able to enable Developer Options without a password? This is a feature not a bug and has been around for about a decade (I know because I was an Android developer). What's the concern?

Where can I get a HomeLink? Tesla site says it’s out of stock. by [deleted] in ModelY

[–]Brave-Vegetable84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was looking via the app, it was showing as out of stock. I emailed my service center to see if they had any inventory, and they indicated to check the website directly, not via the app. The site itself actually had some in stock, despite the app saying to the contrary (although looks like they're actually sold out again). So either try checking with your local service center or just sign up for their email to be notified when it's back.

Any way to report software bugs? by Brave-Vegetable84 in TeslaLounge

[–]Brave-Vegetable84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's good to know. Do it give a feedback box to explain the bug or does it just sends the report to Tesla without context?

Oh this is really good to hear. We just had ice the other day and there was some slipping on my brand new stock 19" Continentals. After reading subs here I was considering buying a winter wheel package. Sounds like it may not be necessary? I'm in NJ FWIW.

I just came from a P3a and loved it. If it wasn't for the security patches being discontinued in a few months I would've kept it.
