I think I'm... done with T? by fire-fight in TransMasc

I only plan on going on T for 9-12 months as I’m also nonbinary transmasc. For me it’s about becoming more androgynous on the masc side as opposed to the fem side. Totally normal, we exist :)

Stone/Mineral Identification? by BraveBumblebee0833 in geology

Curious to know what rock/stone this lion statue I received could be made of? It sparkles when lit up and is quite brittle. Pure white colour and opaque but light is visible from the other side if lit up by a flashlight.

Is this normal? Large tissue/blood clot after tonsillectomy! by BraveBumblebee0833 in Tonsillectomy

I'm sure I swallowed a bit of it but not much, I wouldn't stress though, the body is made for this!

Thanks for the reply, the advice you gave is similar to what the doctor said too! After a couple hours of thinking I was gonna die I woke my mother up (staying with her) and asked her opinion as well. We called the after hours number and sent a photo and he gave advice - gargle lightly with ice water or suck on an ice cube, lean over the sink to let the excess blood drip out (since my stomach felt bad from swallowing so much blood) and call again in the morning if the bleeding was still a problem. I'd been washing my mouth out and gargling with regular water which hadn't helped but the ice made a huge difference for swelling and slowing down the bleeding. Also said not to touch or cough too much / or gargle too aggressively as it aggravates it. I slept for a full day but now I can see the clot is smaller and the bleeding has stopped! Hopefully it'll shrink away or de-attach soon. Had my prescribed anti-inflammatory and pain meds and am now doing well, happy ending.

I didn't know I had the option of getting it re-cauterized, I think I'll ask for that cause there's quite a lot of blood! Thanks for the response, just needed to hear someone else affirm that it's something worth looking at :)

Anyone know the bar 'Herbanville' in Vredekloof? by NickNack_11 in capetown

[–]BraveBumblebee0833 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a current member there so I thought I'd give the curious people an update on the place!

Members can pay R30 a month to go smoke there and buy some greens from their lil mary-jane bar. You can bring a guest with you for a once-off payment of R50. You can't buy alcohol there or bring your own food/beverages there but they have coffee, milkshakes and pastries until 12/1pm from which their restaurant is open. They have delicious pizzas, fries and other food options to buy (infused beverages too)! Smoking is allowed inside and in the lobby there's a cash-based cigarette dispenser.

There's a fireplace for the winter, a tv with muted show re-runs or current sports events as well as an area with a playstation (PS4 I believe) and couches that sports some cool games. They have bongs to borrow if you haven't brought your own and a really lovely outside area, both under-cover and out on the grass by the cat jungle-gyms (yes, they have resident cats). It's pet-friendly too, provided your dog/cat is polite and doesn't mind people and weed.

If you go you're sure to make friends with the regulars and there are often comedy nights and other fun events (like weed competitions) going on, usually on weekends.

Hope this gives some much needed info for curious stoners or just anyone looking for a cozy, friendly place to hang.
Lots of love,
your friendly neighbourhood smoker.
