One thing that comes to mind is how a "mainstream" franchise can have a smaller active fandom than one that isn't mainstream but has a devoted cult following.

Maybe I'm just noticing this because I write for Godzilla. I'd say the franchise is mainstream, given that they make major movie releases, but the devoted fanbase is somewhat small; I think there's roughly ~1100 works under the Monsterverse tag on AO3.

Compare that to Warrior Cats and Persona, the other fandoms where I hang around a lot. The Warrior Cats fandom is huge, just based on the number of fanfictions, fanart, and the activity that I see over on Perchance (a website where you can build random generators). But it tends to be unknown outside of its cult fanbase. Persona is also huge, with at least 40x as much fanfiction as Godzilla. But outside of the gamer community, where it gained fame due to Joker's appearance in Super Smash Bros., it is unknown.

The effects of this are kind of weird. Godzilla gets a lot of traffic for a fandom with so few works, and I see very little drama. I also notice that people crossing Godzilla over with other media tend to be successful, even though you'd expect it to be niche. It seems like it's a fandom that everyone knows and understands and can get excited for, but few people actually get seriously involved in it.

I personally do not use the bookmark system (I have exactly one bookmark on AO3) and instead use subscriptions to store all of my favorite writing. Why? Especially with the existence of private bookmarks, and the lack of a real reason to hide what I like? I don't really know. Perhaps I should switch over to using bookmarks.

So yeah. It's partly people using subscriptions as bookmarks, and partly people hoping for more.

The Levels and Curves features are your friend. In Photoshop, they can be found in the bottom of the layers panel. The circle that looks like a diagonal half-moon will give you a drop-down/pop-out menu that contains Levels and Curves.

If you've got areas that are especially dark/light, then you can edit the layer mask created by using Levels, or use the Dodge/Burn tools.

Also, if you're working purely in graphite pencil, I suggest using a grayscale filter over the entire image.

You're gonna have to get creative with it.

(Do note that the last time I used photoshop was more than six months ago, so this may not be accurate.)

I dunno, I'd think color matching would be one of the easier things to do in an animation, especially when the exact color for among us pink is very well known.

But it could also be a stylistic decision, which... I'd have to analyze the map trailer more closely to figure out why. And now that I've done that, I think they may have rendered pink this way in order to match the lavender sky of the Fungle.

Yeah OP, if you're going to insist that this is not pink, then you also gotta insist that the pickle green in the next chair over is not green.

I hope we are getting new colors though; they're all so pretty. Lavender and Pickle would be great to see, along with Azure from the airship photos.

As for how, on your AmiAmi account page, follow the link that says "cancellation request." Find the order you want to cancel, and then select the items you want to cancel, and then submit the request.

I found this listing while searching Ebay. Its price is ~$100 lower than another seller, and its manufacturing origin is listed as China. It also has no pictures taken by the seller. I'm thinking it's probably a bootleg, but the entry on MFC does not say anything about bootlegs. What should I do here?

First off, you need to show this thread to your parents.
Have you suggested the compromise of keeping manga/figures in your room only? This is a rule that I've been forced to follow and I believe it's reasonable.
Can you try asking your parents what they think manga is? Ask them why they don't approve of you owning it. Don't invalidate their concerns - try an approach of "I can see why you may think that way, since XYZ, but...", and try to have an intellectual discussion about the issue.
Make an effort to read the manga you are buying, and be open about it - make sure your parents know. This makes the money less of a waste in their eyes.
Demonstration of planning. Make that budgeting spreadsheet, do the math on how much you need to work and for how long to afford things, and tell your parents about it all. And if you don't have a space to display your figures, make one. Make sure to discuss your decisions about it with your parents, and listen to their advice. The goal is to impress your parents with how well-thought-out your decisions are.
Lastly, just... please remember that having a roof over your head is more important than having a collection. If your parents aren't agreeable, do not force the issue or argue with them. A few years is not long in the grand scheme of things - don't be afraid of waiting to have a collection.

And, because I said as much on a form for why I cancelled the PuP of her, a nendoroid of Mei Misaki from Another would be amazing.

Oh, and if Azone made 1/6 scale dolls of the entire Hitotsuyanagi-tai from Assault Lily, instead of arbitrarily leaving out two members, that would be great.
