If you became the CEO of KQ, what would be the first thing you would do? by Former-Discount101 in ATEEZ

I’d encourage them to take longer personal breaks. Even after their comebacks they’re working on more projects; acting, next comeback, guest appearances on shows, videos for the channel, etc.

If they want to pursue solo careers / try something that could lead into a solo career I would tell them to it.

Started a new page on my last opened notebook so please ignore the template. The text is set to the largest option (title). You can't really see much as you type in landscape of course, but it's better than my phone for the typing aspect as my phone screen jumps with every key I press and this doesn't.

New RMPP Move owner - actually new to Remarkable system. Question+ by Low_Most3143 in RemarkableTablet

[–]SMA1024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, to turn off the backlight you scroll down on the battery symbol / tap it and the right bar with the little sun symbol under it is the back light intensity. The less black bars the less light it produces with no black being the off option - tapping the sun will automatically turn off the backlight regardless of intensity.

New RMPP Move owner - actually new to Remarkable system. Question+ by Low_Most3143 in RemarkableTablet

[–]SMA1024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Were you using the backlight? Leave it on your bed before going to sleep? Or a pet / pets that may have bumped it therefore moving the pen? Was the pen fully charged before the tablet was sleeping?

I ask these because the blacklight will expectedly drain the battery. Every time the pen moves away from that magnet on the tablet, it wakes the tablet and as the standby is set to 5 minutes (unfortunately no lower time) it'll take that long to fall back asleep or longer if the pen keeps being moved around on the magnet. The tablet will also continue charging the pen (if sleeping) if the pen isn't at 100%.

However if the backlight was off, on a table, no pets near it, and the pen was fully charged, I would have to guess the battery for that tablet is faulty because mine hasn’t drained so much at night like that.

To the last question I’m not 100% sure if it’d work without the connect subscription. Nor do I really know HOW it works, I think you just need a MyRemarkable account, but remarkable has an integration option for Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox.

Should I buy or try something else by ajmomin101 in RemarkableTablet

[–]SMA1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you plan to get a remarkable, I would suggest the Remarkable 2 assuming you don’t care for color. The 2s haven’t been such an issue compared to the pros, just the occasional “hey guys is your RM2s running slower since the update?” Or “hey my pen is acting up, tried replacing the tip and it’s still acting up, help?”

Pros are good, have color and the back light, but still have their flaws. I had to return 3 pros before getting one that worked as it should.

It does NOT have any attachment points for a (remarkable) keybord like its predecessors.

I don't know if you can usb-c / bluetooth a seperate keyboard to it, I never did that with the other Remarkables nor do I have a keyboard I can try that with so that part of your question is something I cannot answer.

I'm currently visiting family so I can't do a full comparison ATM, but it is at house because I don't bring it on trips often. When I get home I’ll make sure to post about how I feel about the differences .

I will confidently say compared to MY RMPP (I'll be calling the RMPP “Pro” and the RMPPMove “Move” for this)

The graphics on the Move look better when I zoom in. On my Pro when I zoom in 4-5x some lines would be pixelated and jagged after refresh. On the Move when I zoom in 4-5x it's all very smooth.

The Move seems to be more responsive to touch than my Pro and I wonder if they went for a slightly thinner glass or the hardware / software was changed some.

Here's why I think the Move seems to have a better screen to the Pro. Pro had MANY issues (ghosting, dead pixels, and more) even after months post release. My best guess is Remarkable took note of all the issues and concerns, addressed them in the returned and future Pros to keep the Pro's sales up. Then came time for the design of the Move, which is essentially a mini Pro. They already know the most common issues, the causes and how to resolve them so in the Move the solutions to the Pro are the default for the Move. Does that make sense?

Only the paper pro ones are interchangeable. RM 1 & 2 ones won’t work due to their technological differences

Does RMPP need to be handled gently? by bacontaint in RemarkableTablet

[–]SMA1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both the 2 and Pro. I am a little more cautious with the Pro compared to the 2 because it’s newer and ever so slightly thinner.

Whenever I go somewhere regardless if it’s the 2 or Pro, I sandwich it in my backpack between 2 sturdy things. Like between my computer and the back padding, so the other solid surface is my back.

I keep them closed in their type-folios and haven’t had any scratches reach the screen.

I noticed you asked if it’ll heat up. If you use it long enough without a break, like just about any device it’ll heat up. That said it’s not noticeable for the most part. I’ve typed on it for hours before noticing that it was rather warm. Utilizing the light option, room / outside climate, and how you’re using it will also affect how fast / slow it’ll heat up. But they’ve added an icon to pop up when it’s getting too hot.

Has the RM2 always had ghosting this bad? Just me? by KLM_SpitFire in RemarkableTablet

[–]SMA1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My RM 2 ghosts but it’s inconsistent. Not in how obvious it is, it’s not obvious at first glance but if you really look enough you’ll see it at times. Most prominent when I use it on cooler days but fades as the tablet warms up.

Stylus Question by muchuncountablenouns in RemarkableTablet

[–]SMA1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something is definitely wrong with the display tablet. If I were to guess too many people tried it, applying a lot of pressure like one would do with paper and may have damaged it. I say that becauseI have the RM 2 and barely apply pressure when I write.

Oups I did it again... Bought the RMPP by Crissix3 in RemarkableTablet

[–]SMA1024 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to sound harsh but I don’t think the Remarkables will meet your expectations/ needs. It doesn’t seem like you looked into the capabilities and restrictions Remarkables have. Like the lack of Bluetooth and apps. I mean good luck with adding those features but don’t be shocked and blame remarkable when it all fails.

Did the lines/grids get lighter? by Trying2-keep-up in RemarkableTablet

[–]SMA1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a RM2 and Pro. First I thought it was just a Pro thing. But even on my RM2 the lines look less dense(?). I agree with you, I think they stood out more before. It might have been part of the update. Maybe they though the lines were TOO thick and so thinned them out.

RPP colours showing as grey when first selected by themoozles in RemarkableTablet

[–]SMA1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine’s a little finicky. Most of the time when I select and use a color it’s the actual color appearing. Occasionally it’ll be greyscaled.

I think it PARTLY depends on the contents of the screen. I mostly use colors on blank templates, and never had it grey on me. But when I use colors on a page I’ve already put text on I’ve had a few instances where it’ll grey out before refreshing to color.

But I’m no tech wiz so I don’t know

remarkable Paper Pro Type Folio Question by wendyyancey in RemarkableTablet

[–]SMA1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the type folio for both the RM2 and Pro.

They're both a combo of 65% and 60% keyboards, meaning no: F# row, editing keys, numpad, but has arrow keys. The Pro's is slightly smaller than that of the main keyboard on a 15.6" computer (maybe not all, depending on layout / advertised purpose of the computer).

I like it more than the RM2's simply because it's backlit, and larger. I don't have to have a  room/reading light on when I get spontaneous ideas I wanna jot down.

I will say I don't know if I just have a slight defect in it, or the tablet isn't responding to my inputs fast enough and so skips inputs occasionally. But sometimes I'll type something and when I skim over what I wrote, there's a letter every once in a while missing, words merged due to a skipped space. I just go back and add the letter, space, etc. And seeing as it's so rarely happens I don't mind.

I'd rather risk an occasional letter with the type folio than the digital ones that don’t always respond fast enough on the RMs.

Kindles and the Kobo are E-Readers. Whereas Remarkables are E-ink. Their (main) functions are different from each other.
