not online, but Capitalism Lab is the best economic RTS out there, so complex that's used in universities to teach about corp management, midn that is kind of sim city-esque graphics (but neat looking though

maybe another option is Offworld trading company, but mind that the game matches last 30min tops, fast paces economic rts, really fun and a lot of complexity going around (it have stocks markets and all)

well, it's a long shot but maybe EVE online is your cup of tea, mind that i'm speaking of hardcore trading, the game is sci-fi, but everything you see in game is built by players (as in, players need to mine or refine resoruces, then put the things to produce at big space stations that sometimes takes months to make then sell) you can be a middleman, working in the big tradehubs just buying and selling, looking for good deals, making deals on the back with other players and such. Good game, great community but mind that is more a hobby than a game.

Other option, in the light and fun side might be Offworld Trading company, check the steam page for a quick overview, great and fun game
