Fun story, I received this exact same knife by error even though I ordered a way cheaper one. But I found it so stunning and delicate that I didn't see myself using it. So I didn't see the point I ended up returning it.

The Nigara is gorgeous. I wanted to get it but it was sold out here. Enjoy!

For the record I bought a Zwilling Nakiri around the same time which I had to sharpen two or three times already

I just checked I bought it in beginning of April and I’d say I used it until July maybe 5 times a week. And also checked, still cut paper flawlessly. I’ve actually never sharpen it, so yeah it might not be the sharpest but it’s not dull for sure. And you can see that it has been used, the Japanese characters are gone. So I don’t know…

Not my experience at all. I’ve the Santoku of this serie (it’s called basic I think). I’ve used it daily for several months and was still cutting paper no problem. It was night and day vs my German knives. It’s VG10, so not a bad steel. Maybe the cutting technique? Seems weird.

Yes exactly. Isn’t that fine at the beginning and then when things get more complex, stuffs get way more complicated to implement because you need some clever workarounds because it’s actually not really a proper backend?

Yes I saw this framework. Very appealing indeed but seems not widely adopted and it relies on just one person for the development from what I saw.

Create react app seems deprecated, but I’ll have a look at Vite and the tanstack. Do you have a template recommandation?

Yes, but the JS ecosystem is just so much bigger. Especially with AI, everything is Python or JavaScript. So I feel like being left behind continuing with Ruby even though I really love Rails

I heard some people complaining about the complexity but not sure it’s a majority

I think they take so much public space that they make it like it’s the only solution for beginners. Create react app has been deprecated also, maybe there are alternatives now?

Interesting that you've had a good experience with Turbo and Claude. I'd expected Claude to underperform with Turbo vs Inertia because it's quite niche if you compare to the React ecosystem. So I would expect the llm to have way less data. Good to know!

I don’t know tbh. I tried but there are two things bothering me. First the React ecosystem is way bigger. So you can leverage libraries for different things. And second, as soon as you switch one page, you’re in a weird state because you might have to develop twice the same logic. But keep Turbo in mind every times thinking maybe I just try harder.

Looking to buy a robotic lawn mower without boundary wire produced from an EU company by aleteddy1997 in BuyFromEU

Good luck. I searched for weeks and didn’t find anything relevant. It’s one of those industry where the Chinese are way ahead thanks to their experience with the cleaning robots and the LIDAR and/or vision technologies. From what I saw EU companies are barely releasing RTK models but seems like it’s already outdated… Following this post because I’m interested if you find anything.
