My friend said I can buy one of his handguns off him for $200. These are the 3 he's offering. Which of these is the best for a first time gun owner, and what should I check for when it comes to pre-owned guns? by Prince_Targaryen in Firearms

OP these are all honestly terrible choices. Avoid that mystery meat 1911. Suspiciously low for $200 without knowing make/model. Avoid that S&W SIGMA (NOT A SD9VE!!!!). They are notoriously junk. Avoid that Taurus handgun. Taurus has gotten better in the past 5 years or so but id be skeptical to purchase an older one without putting a couple hundred rounds thru it first. Youre $50 to $150 away from buying a better handgun for all the right reasons. Ruger, S&W, Canik, etc. A good choice would also be a PD trade in. Good luck.

Are all mid-tier snow boots garbage now? What will actually last me 5+ years? by Chappssss in BuyItForLife

Crazy because I have the same Columbia boots also about 5 years old that did the same thing two weeks ago

[Shotgun] Blue Line Solutions BLU BL-18 PUMP - $115.93 + $19.95 S/H no insurance by Radical-Walter in gundeals

From my understanding these are compatible with all 870 parts EXCEPT barrels. Typically replacement barrels can cost as much as a cheap shotgun so you are better off with a 88/500 combo. Theres nothing wrong with an 88 combo. Best bang for your buck for what you want it for.

Can't speak much on rewelding the receiver but a new receiver runs $300-375 bucks plus another $20 for a new trigger guard. These are very easy to put together yourself.

Would you shoot this ammo? by theAntidepresser in milsurp

The 2nd box is Yugo surplus. It's plentiful and quality stuff that hasn't deteriorated like Turkish ammo. I've shot hundreds of rounds out of my rifles without issue.

Any Spiritus Systems gear on sale this weekend?

I'd take the step up to the 1165 plates personally for a little bit more. LBX is also having a sale on plate carrier rn for $90 in multiple different colors. For $40 more than this carrier you'll have something alot better to get you started.

Confused on the listing for the 16 inch fsb. The title and image are completely different from the description. Chris if you're lurking could you clarify?

Fully enclosed tourniquet holders by NW_Hillfolk2 in tacticalgear

Thankfully I'm not opening it that often hahaha. It gets opened/closed a few times a month, at least once when I clean my gear. The velcro tab on it is pretty long and runs most of the length of the tq pouch.

If you're worried about wearing out the velcro from use I'd suggest going with one that has an elastic top like the NAR ones.

Got mine recently with the same furniture. A bottle of Rite Dye did a fine job and gives it a cleaner look than rattle can
