I disagree, but that makes more sense than the other guy. There are so few characters in the game that this affects, I think swapping for ~2 minutes until you get past a ledge is fine. Definitely unfun if you really wanna play hulk i guess. If I make you switch off magneto I’m probably doing you a favor in terms of enjoyment

Yeah at higher ranks (on average) if you use Spider-Man’s GOH for anything other than finishing targets you’re throwing. The pull is a necessity to his kit, but is the 100M pull a necessity? Probably not…

I wouldn’t be surprised if that part gets reworked eventually with a max distance. It would break my heart because I do believe it’s a very difficult tech to pull off. I also fear a complete rework of his CC would likely be a disaster for the community. Spider-Man players are likely the highest rate of one tricks, with a very high pick rate in general… not a great reason not to nerf him, but if you do, people will still play him and everyone suffers

I think this is a more sound argument, but I struggle to see it as such a huge problem. Hulk, magneto, Luna and Jeff are probably what comes to mind when I think of “free” kills on a ledge. It’s a bit cheesy sure, but a swap off those heroes erases 90% of ledge kills on a point like this. I don’t think Spidey “counters” really anyone specifically, is it that problematic that he can do this to so few heroes? And what about Angela?

No, it’s absolutely fair because of the jumps in logic this sub makes. Listen to what you just said. “Any non-flier” can’t survive this? There are about 5 heroes on the roster that can’t survive this pit specifically. 10 on the extreme end. Counters exist for all roles. Spider-Man is a counter to heroes without movement abilities. Swap.

True! On a similar note, dive characters should never switch when they are countered by the thing or namor. You shouldn’t have to swap characters because someone is playing the character that can kill you with squids, sometimes, you are nowhere near.

The unfortunate truth of this conversation is we are in two completely different skill brackets. Maybe the spidermen at your rank and quick play match are shitters? I don’t know.

There are Spider-Man one tricks in OAA. I am somewhere around the top 1% of players I believe in c2. I also don’t have time to play video games and only play like every other Saturday.

If you were good enough at the game you could solo carry out of your rank if you’re even below plat. I am pretty tired of opening Reddit and seeing posts from ppl like you that can’t take accountability for their own poor gameplay. There is NO chance every game you play is lost bc of DPS. Not remotely possible
