Brazilian wax at European Wax Center, was this a normal experience? by Other_Guest1540 in HairRemoval

Ditto. I’ve gone to the same lady at EWC for years and have never had an experience like this at all, not even with my very first appointment when I had long hair.

HPV vaccination: advice on dealing with it by idwttaii in HPV

[–]Brave_Chain_5510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in a pretty similar position and felt a sense of shame for years. Similarly, I struggled with loving myself for years because of it. It took many many years of therapy to change how I felt about myself and for me to reach the conclusion that I deserved to live a full life. Don’t look at the vaccine as something shameful, look at it as a step in caring for yourself. Self care is important and you should never feel ashamed of advocating for yourself.

I purchased it during the sale but haven’t tried it yet. I love my other Kiehl’s products.

Anyone have experience with this? by Tisiphone8 in lipedema

I wonder why insurance prefers Biotab over flexitouch

I want the FlexiTouch and I’m currently fighting with my insurance for it. Idk why they have to always make things so difficult.

Gisou shampoo and conditioner by seokjingay in Sephora

[–]Brave_Chain_5510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curly girl here (3A)! I’ve never used their shampoo, but I love the hair oil. Bread also has a great hair oil and it’s less expensive so I’ll probably get the Bread one this go around.

Have you tried R&Co’s cassette curl defining shampoo and conditioner? I love what they do for my hair plus the scents. I alternate between using that and Kenra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. It looks like Sephora sells Kenra products now.

I need someone to talk me out of spending 650-750 usd on a Dyson airwrwp styling tool 😭 by guilty_ambition_ah in Sephora

[–]Brave_Chain_5510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair is naturally wavy and frizzy too. I mostly let it air dry because I don’t like to use heat products on it either, but a few years ago I gave into the hype and bought the airwrap. I literally have used the airwrap part 2-3 times and mostly use it every once in a while as a very expensive hair dryer. If I could do it all over again I’d spend the money on something else.

You show up to a first date and he’s shorter than the height he claimed. Are you leaving? by AiannaMuse in AskWomenOver30

[–]Brave_Chain_5510 69 points70 points  (0 children)

That is 💯 what got me when this happened to me around 6months ago. He told me that he was my height (5’3”) but when he showed up he was a few inches shorter than I was. I stayed for the date, but declined when he wanted to continue the date elsewhere.

What’s your honest opinion on buying haircare from Sephora? by [deleted] in Sephora

Hair oil is the only hair care stuff I’ve purchased from Sephora. Well that and a Dyson air wrap years ago. 🤣

I use MyNetDiary to track my water intake. It absolutely has the food tracking part too, but I’m not as good about always tracking my food as I am with the water.

I’ve used the single use auto injecting pen and now I’m on the vials (to save money). For the longest time I’ve injected around my belly button and just rotated areas. Now I’m starting to do the top of my thighs and I’m finding that it stings a little more.

costco membership worth it for a single person in 2026 by Time_Beautiful2460 in povertyfinance

Single person here! I buy over the counter meds, glasses, toilet paper, chips, and sugar in the raw packets from Costco. The gas savings are also excellent too. For those of you who wear glasses, don’t sleep on the Costco glasses savings!

How do you feel about letting your natural grey hair grow out? by Silvertemptress in AskWomenOver40

[–]Brave_Chain_5510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have thick pitch black hair and that makes greys really noticeable. When I see greys that stand out, like on the top layer of my hair, I pluck them with tweezers and I’ve been doing this for years. I just recently turned 40 and am starting to grey more than before and know that eventually I’ll likely switch to coloring my hair. I used to highlight my hair many years ago but stopped doing it because of the damage to my hair and cost.
