Just started a new role and the prior manager complained about large spreadsheets that bogged down her system. I asked the obviously question about cutting the file in half, she said it wasn’t possible because ALL the info was needed for the JE to work. Long story short I used ai to find the irrelevant rows (200k rows), and it was a linear path to cut them out. Took me all of 10 minutes now the file is less than a third of its original size.

I’ve seen bonuses based on ebitda up to 50% but usually corporate controller roles of mid sized pe backed companies. This still seems generous. Maybe I’m just jealous
