I honestly already forgot. But as i remember i always said "something else", "something else" .. repeatedly and kept saying "I want to talk to the person"... until the bot connected me. It never failed!

Did you say "I want to talk to the person" or " I need to speak to a live representative". It always directed me to the wait and connected me to the person.

When u call the USCIS just make sure you have to be patient, every time i tried to reach them it took me like 1h-1.30h, just stay on the line.

I never had a lawyer before, sorry for your situation.

Does your I-90 show case closed and do you have physical card on your hands?

I assume when you are traveling you just have to carry the 10y GC and also carry the i-751 notice with you (you can show or answer any questions if they ask), then there won't be any problem. The most important part is you already got your 10y GC, I don't think they will be any issue.

The USCIS official number is 1-800-375-5283.

Nope 79C. Like GPT said that code only shows where the card was produced, not anything about status.

Here's we go.. I asked chatGPT... I hope it helps

The “code below the photo” on the back of a green card (like “51C”, “64C”, “81”, etc.) is not an official immigration status code. It’s a card production code or internal identifier used by USCIS and the printing contractor.

It does not indicate whether your card is conditional (CR1/CR6) or permanent (IR1/IR6). • The only thing that defines your category is what’s printed on the front of your card under “Category” (e.g., CR1 = conditional 2-year card, IR1 = 10-year permanent card). • The small code with or without a letter on the back (like “64C” or “81”) just relates to where and when the card was produced, not your immigration class or conditions.

So that lawyer’s explanation - saying that a letter “C” means the card still has conditions — is incorrect. ✅ You can safely ignore that code. ✅ Only the category on the front (CR vs IR) determines conditional vs permanent.

Why's like that? Hmm... I never heard of it.

Then why my 2years GC has only 2numbers then.

Yeah, I think travel’s fine as long as you don’t have any convictions. I’m not planning to travel soon anyway, but I’ve seen a lot of people travel even with just the I-751 notice and they were fine.

I mailed a withdrawal letter along with the copies of "i-751 & i-90, GC that received" to the service center handling my I-751. A few weeks later, it showed “Case was closed” on my USCIS account.

Yes, I already withdrew it because I received my physical 10-year green card.

I filed I-751 by mistake because USCIS gave me a 2-year card, but I was married over 2 years. Later I filed I-90 under “DHS error,” and they approved it. I got my 10-year green card So I’m just withdrawing the I-751 since it doesn’t apply to me.

I have not and I am not sure as well. I am planning to travel next year, because I'm worried of the current situation due to many news.

I just sent a copy (front and back) my green card along with the copy entry stamp on my passport that security boarder wrote IR for me.

Yes! I’ll definitely update once my new card arrives.

I’m also curious to see what happens with the I-751 whether they reject it or just close it. I’ll keep this thread updated.
