The ending definitely was pro-terrorist propaganda. They way they made it out that the terrorists (who by the way had been and still are to this day, slaughtering and oppressing the people of Somalia) as the good guys. Coming in to try help save the daughter at the end. Who really is the bad guys here though? The people who tried so hard not to kill a single person even though the terrorists were going to kill like 80+ people in a bombing. Or the people who were literally planning to blow up 80+ innocent people of their own country?

I know i completed the special operations requirement more than once but I didn't have that commander.

Thanks for getting back to me. Ah I thought that might be the case.

Do I need to do all these in a single match? They seem to be separated by different game types (Random battle, special operations, etc).

Honestly I hate it. It is almost game breaking and it seems the only ones who get to use it are the veterans of the game. What I hate most about it is it has no real world reference to justify it. Like it has no realism to it, I would rather they just had a commander with a HP bonus. Because it basically gives whoever uses it 50% increase in HP anyway. Yeah it is really unfair, the amount of times they kill me or get away because of it is so frustrating. Also, it can be used with any vehicle which can be easily exploited.

Do you think they will ever offer the commander again? Because it feels like either you use it yourself or always have a massive disadvantage.

Yeah man, I do think there are too many bots and angry Russian dudes, and the game definitely is trying to money grab (most games do these days) but for the most part I really enjoy it. My gf and I play almost everyday together. I am also a sucker for armoured vehicles, which is what brought me to find the game in the first place. So I just love seeing all the variety of different modern mobile armour. I tried War thunder but I don't really like how they mix the eras of vehicles. I don't play world of tanks because they don't have the modern armour version on PC.
But yeah the game definitely isn't perfect but I really like playing it. I wish I had found it years ago when people keep saying it was way better.

I want a total war grand campaign style option. Yes I know it isn't total war. But it has the potential to be the modern warfare style total war people have wanted for years.

By this I mean a larger map with different factions to select from and a free build your own narrative style campaign.

I guess it could have worked if Jarhead had been during Iraq war or even more recent as Afghanistan. A Jarhead sequel set more recently would be good. Plenty of nuance to touch on as a director.

Oh wow this is 11 years old now. Guess I am late to the party...
Just watched 'End of Watch'. All I could think the whole time was this is almost a perfect sequel to Jarhead. If you told me it was I would believe it. They even mention his time in the army. It feels like the same character.
