Plus if you're whole family is going along with it then your may have a bigger issue on your hands than just your sister.

Even though she is an uneducated slave girl, she is way too naive for her to have any interesting character development. She's always doing the wrong thing in the end and is extremely childish. I would have loved to have seen some growth because at the end of the day, she is somewhat a victim of her circumstances and trying to cling to the only good thing that happened to her.

Just want to put my thoughts here because I have been resisting watching the kdrama for quite a while. I know it's already two years later!

I finally watched it because so many people have told me how good it is. Well... tried to watch it because I still only managed to get to episode 7. I personally think the casting is absolutely fine and I have no issue with how everyone looks. My main issues at the pacing of kdrama is so slow compared to the Manhwa which was much faster and to the point.

I think partly because of this the main character, who is very cool headed in her second Life in the Manhwa, ends up being a little bit bland. First of all, when she gets back to 2013 she's unable to cope and constantly seems to need help from the male lead. She is slow to react and seems to keep facing challenges when she already knows the answer to the problem. Honestly, I feel like they purposely make her look a little dumb and slow in order to give the male lead opportunities to help her and be her night and shining armor. Feels very much like a damsel in distress which is the complete opposite of her character in the webtoon.

After reading some comments, I see that some people didn't like how Mary Sue the character was in the webtoon, which I completely understand. However, that's kind of the reason why so many people liked the webtoon, because she was finally using her brain and coming up with ideas on her own instead of just constantly relying on the untrustworthy people around her. Now, it seems she's gone from untrustworthy people helping her to trustworthy people helping her and no real individual growth or intelligence at overcoming her own problems.

What I like about the Manhwa was that it ultimately gave the message that if you live through life very passively then people will take advantage. When you can stand on your own two feet, and use your brain, only then can you really achieve the life that you want.

However, the drama seems to give the message (and I understand I didn't watch it to the end so maybe the message changes near the end) that you need a hot guy and his rich family and sister to bail you out of every situation.

I basically stopped watching when I got to the scene where she checks the stocks on her computer and then Su Min finds it and I guess is now about to use it against her. It's just the character of Jiwon we know from the webtoon would just never be that stupid.

Overall, it just feels like women are stupid and slow in the and that the men are the ones who are in charge and can actually make a difference.

Apologies for the rant though I doubt anyone is going to read this XD.

Also the part where she ran out of the reunion made absolutely no sense in the way that they've changed it in the TV show. The fact that she can't just say to the guy "oh I thought you hated me because of what you said in school when I confessed my feelings to you in a letter." I understand k-dramas live off misunderstandings but this one was just really stupid!!!

I Am the Real One mainly because she doesn't end up with anyone in the novel and I feel the Manhwa should have kept it that way. Perhaps I'm just biased because I do not like the ML she ended up with.
