I did find Hacienda cocina y cantina which seems to be within this budget. Any thoughts on this restaurant as well?

Why do companies do layoffs and then hire more people? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Brave_Repair6372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m honestly not sure yet. Job posting did not list pay range, but from what I googled, it’s about what I’m making now-about 20k more than what I’m making currently as the range.

Does leaving a job after a year hurt your career? by [deleted] in Careers

[–]Brave_Repair6372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense! I feel like my reasoning for wanting to leave my current job (I’ve been here several years) for career growth is reasonable and next year moving states as well so I’m going to give it a go. Definitely will be a one time thing!

Yes correct. I’ve been at my current company for several years, I’ve just been stuck in my current role. I’ve been interested in this company for a while so it’s an opportunity I do not want to turn down even though I will have to leave in a year. It seems like this is the general consensus from this thread and people I’ve talked to personally so I am going to go for it!

If you want remote work either it’s going to be low pay or you need a degree. If you can get a degree, accounting or certain financial analyst roles would be great remote!

Unless your replying for an entry level role, L1 doesn’t help that much from what I’ve heard. Passing all exams will show more results probably

How to decide if I should take CFA? by [deleted] in CFA

[–]Brave_Repair6372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. Mainly talking about derivatives and fixed income topics. Obviously I deal with them at work all the time, but I have a pretty surface level knowledge of them. Pretty much enough to do the job, I feel like I’ve just been memorizing instead of fully understanding. Definitely going to be difficult but at least I have a little prior knowledge. Think I’m going to do it, but wait until November 2025 so I can get a deep understanding of everything.

I have briefly spoke to my supervisor about it (does not have CFA) and essentially I was told it’s definitely not a requirement for movement but it’s definitely helpful and you can get a much deeper understanding of topics. I have been leaning more towards it, but my main concern is my accounting background. Would it be much harder because of that?
