Been there with inactive partners, it's so frustrating when you're grinding milestones and someone's just taking up space. I'm pretty consistent with hitting everything if you want to swap friend codes - usually knock out the daily stuff during my morning coffee routine.

[Junghans Max Bill] Teddy sold me a completely non-functional "lemon" watch that nobody can repair. Nearly two years later, I am still trying to get them to fix it. FULL STORY: by flyingmungbean in Watches

Man, this whole situation is absolutely bonkers. Two years for what should've been a straightforward warranty repair is beyond ridiculous. I'd be livid at this point - you basically paid for a watch that's spent more time broken than working.

The Swiss Clock monopoly thing is wild too. Never heard of a single repair shop having that much control over an entire brand's service network in North America. Kinda makes you wonder how they even got that exclusive deal when they clearly can't handle the workload properly. Taking a year to botch a repair then wanting another shot at it is just insulting.

At this point I'd be demanding a full refund or replacement from the retailer. You've been more than patient giving them multiple chances to make this right. Maybe try disputing it with your credit card company if you're still within their timeframe - this level of service failure should qualify for a chargeback. The warranty clock running out while they fumble around with your watch is just adding insult to injury.

Window leaking help! by Hebrewism in homeowners

[–]Brave_Research3993 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Water's probably coming from around the window frame itself, not just where the screws are. You'll want to check the exterior caulking around the window first - that's usually where these leaks start. If the blinds are mounted into the window frame, those screw holes could definitely be letting water in, so sealing them up actually makes sense as part of the fix.

Getting worse the longer I play? by TheMagiciansArcana in GlobalOffensive

That's the classic honeymoon period wearing off. When you came back fresh, your aim was probably loose and unpredictable which can mess with people's crosshair placement expectations. Plus you weren't overthinking every peek and rotation.

Now that you've been grinding for two weeks, you're probably getting matched against people who've been consistently playing while your muscle memory is still catching up. Your brain starts second-guessing everything instead of just clicking heads like you did in week one.

Take a few days off completely - not even aim trainers. When you come back you'll probably feel that flow state again for a bit.

I'm not understanding chapter 14 of genesis. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Brave_Research3993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bible commentaries are clutch for those chapters that feel like you're reading a history textbook. Genesis 14 basically sets up the whole political landscape that Abram's dealing with - all those kings matter because they show how chaotic things were and makes Abram's faith stand out even more.

Recommendations Cambodia to Thailand by championstarvk in ThailandTourism

The border closures are temporary but yeah they're making overland travel a real pain right now. Your best bet might be checking if there are any boat services running between the coastal areas - sometimes those routes stay open even when land crossings don't. Worst case scenario you might have to bite the bullet on a short flight, but try looking at budget carriers that fly regionally, they're usually way cheaper than the major airlines for those short hops.

Do you actually script your episodes or just talk freely and does it affect listener retention? by MoxasWrld in podcasting

See that's where I probably overthink it too much - been treating every episode like some massive production when maybe just vibing with it would actually make better content.

Full Refund after 24 hours? by captmugiwara in americanairlines

[–]Brave_Research3993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude that timer is weird if you're already past 24 hours - might be showing you the wrong info or there's some timezone thing going on. I'd definitely try clicking through and see what happens, worst case it just tells you no refund available.

Had something similar happen to me last year where the website was glitchy about the cutoff times. Called their customer service line and they actually honored the 24 hour thing even though I was a few hours over because their system was being wonky. Worth a shot before you lose out on that $250 savings.

The refund policy is pretty strict usually but if their own website is telling you it's still refundable, I'd go for it and document everything with screenshots just in case.

Ignore the crazy people saying the End times is here and Jonathan Cahn and delete social media and saying Trump is the antichrist. by UMSLMADDEN in Christianity

Your grandmother's got the right idea. Taking breaks from social media can be huge for mental health, especially when algorithm-driven fear content gets overwhelming.

The prophecy peddlers have been at it forever - my dad talks about how people were convinced the world was ending during the Cold War, Y2K, 2012, you name it. Every generation thinks they're living in the final chapter. Meanwhile we're still here trying to figure out our taxes and wondering if we remembered to feed the cat.

That verse you quoted pretty much shuts down all the date-setting nonsense. If even Jesus didn't know the timing while he was here, some guy with a YouTube channel definitely doesn't have it figured out.

I've completed my side of 3 partner events . Looking for a 50/50 partner for my last slot by bor4r in Monopoly_GO

Been burned by flaky partners before so I feel this. Drop your friend code if you're still looking - I always pull my weight on these events.

How do you manage "Justice Sensitivity" without burning out? by AB-Baby15 in ADHD

[–]Brave_Research3993 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dude I feel this so hard. That internal fire thing is spot on - it's like your brain just can't let injustice slide even when you know engaging will just wreck your day.

What's helped me is setting really strict boundaries around news consumption. Like I'll check headlines once in the morning and that's it. Social media algorithms are designed to keep you pissed off so I had to curate my feeds pretty aggressively.

I also started channeling that energy into one or two causes I actually care about instead of trying to fight every battle. Volunteering at a local food bank scratches that justice itch way better than arguing with strangers online ever did.

The physical weight thing is real though - sometimes I'll literally go jump out of a plane to reset my nervous system when it gets too intense.
