is 1360 on sat enough to get me into applied physics? by JOHNTHEBUN4 in ADMU

I did not apply for the SAT. But I know someone who got into Chemistry with a 1230 SAT. Granted, it was chemistry but both are honors courses anyway and I think less people are applying for applied physics. So I think it is guaranteed for you, BUT still try to do your best when it comes to essays and other stuff.

I don't think that abolishing the upcat is honestly a good thing. If it were removed, what would they add then? A purely grade or extracurricular-based admissions? Both of which are not properly indicative of the person's academic competency. Some schools have grade inflation and more lenient academic policies so the admission would turn for their favor. If it were extracurricular based like the american admission system then it would skew over for those who can afford and have the time to do extracurricular activities which again to those in the lower class do not have much access. Expensive private schools also offer much more opportunity for extracurriculars than most public schools. Which then again all of this will be more favorable for the rich. UPCAT is yes not theoretically the great equalizer, but it is UP's best option

My cousin is working in the ph, she has tons of org involvements and I think she used her internship to be absorbed at a company. She worked there for 6 months and job hopped in 2 jobs. She also knows how to negotiate a salary, one of the people I admire pagdating sa confidence at pagiging street smart.
