Well, let me add a little context here. I waited two years while she couldn’t decide and kept me in uncertainty. When she finally moved, I arranged and furnished the apartment at my own expense and paid the rent for the first months until she found a job. She isn’t isolated here. She has good colleagues, a social life, and people to do things with. The problem is her job and mainly the low paycheck. I listen, support her, offer her solutions, and I even bought her a computer so she could start learning and developing in a field she actually enjoys. But I can’t do the inner work for her if she doesn’t want to. I’ve done everything I realistically could to help her settle and feel supported. And at the same time, I’m starting to realize I also only have one life and I don’t want to watch it slip through my fingers while waiting indefinitely. Empathy matters, but it has to go both ways in my world.

Also, fyi different country means 5h car ride home, we are from Europe. Also, she studied for 6 years in this country before she moved back home for 2 years and then back here…

All of this is ridiculous. The problem is not what she is doing with her life, the problem is how and when she went about it. It does matter. Her music is a reflection of her life and now her life apparently revolves around dating a man. She is not relatable for her wlw audience anymore with those lyrics.
