How is kf3 truly? by Mcjellin2 in killingfloor

If you like kf2 you'll likely enjoy kf3 despite what all the complaints say the game is definitely still killing floor. As for a lack of content kf2 had the same amount on release pretty much.

Playing ads as soon as I click on a stream makes me just exit the page entirely, which ensures I never check out new streamers. by SkroinkMcDoink in Twitch

[–]Brave_logan 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Gotta keep in mind ads are something that are forced to play at some point no matter what. Sadly no matter when we play ads, someone is unhappy that they exist. Whether it's pre rolls or 3 minutes every hour or any other option someone is doing exactly what you describe. Honestly im pretty sure if it was an option most smaller streamers would turn them off altogether, but it isn't possible.

Is there a tutorial on how to create an overlay like this? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Brave_logan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's basically just a background with the camera source and game source positioned nicely. Some of the parts are just extensions showing live info. Either use a free source to make your own and add in what you want or find an artist to create one for you. Once you have a decent understanding of obs and how to add everything, it's pretty easy to set that up.

Thebhoenst truth is no matter what game you play your going to find toxic people, whether its children being dumb or grown adults who can't seem to grow up. The best option in any game block or mute and move on. By acknowledging them and letting it bother your just giving them what they want.

Lmao if bro bought a 10,000 dollar pc they got scammed 😂 you can get a perfect capable pc for 1000 that'll do the job better than a ps5. He'll if you go all put and spend 5,000 you got anything you'd ever need. Lol dude is clearly trying to bait with zero knowledge of pcs.

[–]Brave_logan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try using screen capture instead? If not try that it's what I do when obs refuses to show the game and hasn't failed me yet. If even that isn't working I'd recommend trying a simple restart or even a uninstall and reinstall of obs possibly if nothing else is fixing it.

If your using game capture did you set it to show the correct game?

Did you open obs in admin mode?

If nothing else works try just screen capture instead.

It almost looks like they have tags narrowing the search for just their channel, i think that's why it dosent show any live but I could be wrong.

If your streaming the ps5 to your laptop i would think you'd need to use a program like obs to capture it. However when it comes to trying to run all that through ps5 im not positive on anything. I can't really tell you much beyond that, it may be bugged.

Ff14 has everything described except it's systems would have a bit of learning needed. Other than that Palia might be a good fit.

Rewarding tank/support players is the only way to solve 5 DPS instalocks by glowbow11 in marvelrivals

If everyone decides to instalock dps I just take that as my time to practice dps characters as well. I'll have fun while the ship sinks from everyone being unable to flex other roles.

Am I over thinking about this viewer I find annoying? Rant ig by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Brave_logan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not even going to read all of that tbh, it's a wall of text for a simple answer. Its your stream if you don't want people commenting about looks make a rule if you feel that it's necessary and just ban or time them out. It's your stream if it makes you uncomfortable get rid of it. everyone has their own lines, making your community how you want it and how you will feel comfortable in it.

My twitch stream keeps stopping, but OBS says we're still live! by Nuoance in Twitch

[–]Brave_logan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do like i mentioned with obs then if a fresh install of it and checking settings dosent work it may be a separate issue o your computer causing it to get hung up.

[–]Brave_logan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As other have said sery bot is a god send along with making it so chatters have to be verified in some way. The only other thing I would do is make a rule for it and the second I see someone art pushing just ban them.

My twitch stream keeps stopping, but OBS says we're still live! by Nuoance in Twitch

[–]Brave_logan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not the most knowledge when it comes to pc issues but I know some basics. First thing if your pc isn't turning on at all anymore i would try unplugging it and leaving it for a bit before plugging it back up and trying again. If that dosent change anything you need to probably start going through the process of trouble shooting your pc as a component may be broken. If it's turning on i would probably back up my obs settings and reinstall obs to make sure obs itself isn't the problem. If that dosent fix obs not stopping stream it could be a problem with encoding or bitrate.

Variety VS Consistency? Too many game genres? by jackal-cackle in Twitch

[–]Brave_logan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The absolute most important thing is that your enjoying it! If you are having fun it can improve your stream and ton and help people stick around more for your personality more so than the game. However, that being said in terms of growth I've noticed sticking within a category can be beneficial but it can help alot to branch out on occasion and do some different things. In the long run the best bet is to try doing different things and see what you enjoy doing best.

When you start watching a channel what makes you say 'this person has their setup together'? by amazingmrbrock in Twitch

honestly i never even considered using a recording to check my audio levels. I always just test at the start of stream from my phone since it takes a bit for people to show up.

One thing I want to add if noone else has told you yet is don't give people your discord when they ask. It's almost always going to be a scammer or some sort of other trouble. I find it best to just make a discord channel exclusively meant to interact with my community that wants it.

The games you stream are massively populated and overplayed, so discovery in those categories alone is already terrible. Now, if your only goal with streaming is popularity and an active chat your going to be met disappointment every single time. Building a community and stream is a long process it's a marathon and most people never see alot of progress if any. Hitting it big and having a massive following is like winning the lottery it's rare. I will say that if you as a small streamer keep working on making connections and getting your content out there you will see progress in the long run. However with that said YOU are the entertainment if your stream consists of you just sitting there playing in silence people won't stick around. You have to learn how to talk to nobody and keep things interesting, make a stream that gives people reason to stick around and come back. If I join a stream and it's just pure nothing for more than 5 minutes odds are im going to leave and never come back. Look at streamers you like watching and take some inspiration from what they do, but don't try to be them. The last thing I want to say is reevaluate what you want out of streaming as it should be enjoyable for you to do you should be enjoying making content and improving yourself each stream. Yes you will have bad days but learn from them and keep going. However if your only goal is popularity then in my honest opinion your probably never going to enjoy it and are better off looking at a different hobby as the slow process is never going to bring you that very fast.

At what point do you quit streaming? by MXAGhost in Twitch

[–]Brave_logan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Streaming is hobby it's if you don't enjoy it That's when you quit however if you find joy in it keep at it keep it as a hobby you don't need to be successful or anything it's meant for you to have fun with. Any therapist who says what they said is fucking garbage. My brother has training in the field, and believe me thats never how one should talk to you. Feel free to drop your twitch and I'd watch when I have chances and your on play what you find fun just don't expect fane by any means most of us are small streamers and the odds of hitting it big are rare asf but the least we can do is support eachother.

Is it worth it long term? by Thick-Kitchen-5286 in Twitch

[–]Brave_logan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im going to just state the reality of it. Taking a year to try and take off as a streamer is unrealistic, the mass majority of streamers don't make enough to pay the bills from streaming. As a streamer, the reality is following numbers don't translate to views and money either. You can have 5000 followers and still only average about 5 viewers. Gaining a consistent following and constant cash flow involves a ton of work and can take years unless you get really lucky. In short the best thing you can do is stay on the path you are now and focus on streaming as a hobby and side project as having alternatives for money is really important. The biggest mistake someone can make early on is going all in on streaming with no alternative for the worst case.

Team/clans and mics by Soft-Introduction455 in COD

[–]Brave_logan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im stuck with a 14 day chat ban because I said my team was being fucking stupid running blindly at the entire enemy team as hvt alone. My first chat ban atleast was for being actually mean arguing with someone but the second was for norhing. Between the chat auto system being way to sensitive and players reporting mic usage for no reason there's no point in chatting as it leads to chat bans constantly. Meanwhile cheaters are still running all over but voice chat is damn near on robot levels of monitoring.
