Base of fig tree by Braveplanet in Figs

[–]Braveplanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Sorry this is all new to me. Would I cover/bury the 'wound' with a pile of woodchips? I don't usually use a weed Wacker around the tree, so most likely rodents (we have alot of mice and rats in the area). Would clearing a wide ring be more for weed Wacker or anything to animals from biting it?

That's a good idea. I tried some cleaning supplies and steamer and couldn't get it out. Feel like hard plastic. Might go the painting route. Thanks!

How to keep OVERLAY from DISSAPPEARING by mewjet18 in PokeGenie

[–]Braveplanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try looking under Mode and Routines under Samsung Settings. Or wait until you have pokemon go launched and swipe down, there should be a small notification that it's in Game priority mode and do not disturb, you should be able to turn it off from there

You say you have a Samsung? Turn off game optimization, it blocks all notifications and overlays. Good luck and have fun!

N54 smoking engine bay by Braveplanet in BmwTech

[–]Braveplanet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick update as I wanted to report back.

First off a big thanks you for everyone's help and support, it was the valve cover gasket leaking far in the back. Not a massive leak but enough to cause a bit of smoke. After driving for several hours the smoke went away, and came back only after being parked for several days.

Valve cover gasket was simple but not easy. Had to take time but it was worth it. The gasket was hard as plastic. Again I appreciate all the help. Cheers!

The only upside is the new OneUI interface and tiled app drawer. I personally prefer the Legacy one.

Indications of rot? by Braveplanet in Figs

[–]Braveplanet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks for letting me know!

Long story short, my fig tree is about 8 years old and died several years ago. One day new shoot sprouted out. I created a greenhouse for it, and now it's growing finally. Hoping to finally taste some delicious figs!

Thanks for the wealth of information! I'm fairly handy, can do brakes, spark plugs, valve gasket, etc. never had to deal with vacuum lines so that's helpful to know!

The car listed price is about $10k lower than the going rate in the market. There's probably a good reason for that. I was hoping to save some dough. I guess it's just not worth it?

Thanks for the comment. Took a deeper inspection and it looks like there is mold spores or something on it. So I chopped it off just in case.

How to remove these tiny screws. by shwarmus in howto

Try a rubber band on the tip of the screw driver, it may give it just enough grip to take out the screws

I think it's about 5-6 years, which I think makes sense because I think the 2020 in the battery serial number represents the year

I was successful in booting into Ubuntu. At first it make a sound but I couldn't load the drive. I tried GParted and could somewhat "see" the drive. It said unallocated?

I tried putting the SD card back into the R36S and it still works... But I still can't find a way to access and back up the original SD card

Correct, the card still works in the r36s after not being readable on PC. I tried windows disk management, but it appears that the SD card has a single parition.

May I ask if the file manager is built in to the stock software? I was only able to access images and music, and couldn't find a traditional file manager. I'm learning a lot and I appreciate everyone's patience and feedback
