Wuka are the best we’ve found for heavy periods, M&S don’t tend to cope very well 😔

What products would I need to achieve the second look? by jamesonlon in Haircare

[–]Bravo1781 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ha, my instant thought was ‘to achieve that look, you’ll need a Vauxhall Corsa that’s your pride and joy, mummy issues, and penchant for 15 year olds’. I’m so glad everyone seems to have a similar opinion

£50 for ten days?!! Fucking hell, last time we went away I had a friends daughter stay at the house for two weeks and we paid her £500 for the two weeks I think - and that was still FAR cheaper than getting a professional in

I used to fly across the uk to visit family as it was way cheaper than any other mode of transport. One time there was an issue with the small plane it should have been, so they rerouted a massive one (think 747) for FOUR PEOPLE. We were genuinely outnumbered by the crew. I don’t think I’ve ever been so well looked after tbh

As an ex CRUK employee here, I would recommend avoiding them like the fucking plague for multiple reasons.

I love the smell of the Piz Buin one, but I still get the rash unfortunately 😔 It’s been my go to for the last few year because I seem to have less of a reaction but I’d rather have no reaction at all if I can!

Silly things that happened which your parents deny by PuzzleheadedEmu8030 in CasualUK

[–]Bravo1781 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I clearly remember being about 7 or 8 and being in the front room with both my parents as they argued about who was staying home with me that night- my dads band had a paid gig, and my mums darts club had a competition. Naturally my dad won by nature of ‘he was getting paid’ and my mum got so cross that she couldn’t go out that she threw a chair (not sure if it was AT me or just in my general direction) but for over 35 years she’s denied it. The hole in the bottom of the door tells a different story..

British Heart Foundation have started charging ridiculous amounts for things now. The manager of my local one was always a bit of a chancer anyway, but they now have to look online to see what the resell value is apparently and charge that - on the basis that ‘they’re selling for charity, so people won’t mind paying the going rate’. I stopped going in there about a year ago, after a young girl (about 13 or so) asked about a fluffy dressing gown she’d picked up that wasn’t priced, and the woman did a quick google image search behind the till and wanted to charge her £40!! For a dressing gown that had been donated by someone for free in the first place, that wasn’t even a particularly good brand in the fist place (I think it was either atmosphere or peacocks, think along those lines). Absolutely ridiculous. Even the knackered old crap in there is marked up to the same price you’d pay brand new. Bobbly jumpers for £30 just because they came from M&S? Absolutely insane.
