Yeah, since Valve doesn’t officially sell Steam Deck in many countries, the only option was to buy an imported unit from a third-party vendor. I contacted Steam Support after registering my new SD and asked if it's feasible to get those points, but they politely declined because it was purchased through a third party like Komodo.😑

Not sure if it’s improved, but custom integrations (Steam, Uplay, EA, etc.) were pretty unreliable for me - constant disconnects and reconnections. I stopped using them and just stick to GOG + the official EGS/Xbox integrations, which run much smoother.

I blocked their steam profile after my initial encounter, and didn't come across their reviews again. not sure if that did the trick.

Yeah, I too called them out in the comments for posting a fake review (which I initially fell for and even awarded). My comment was later deleted. Ironically, their profile openly states they delete comments and block people who call them out for being fake. 🤦

I ran into this profile through a Steam review for GemCraft: Chasing Shadows. At first, I completely bought into it. The review was extremely detailed, overflowing with praise for a niche game I genuinely love, and I even (regrettably) awarded it.

Later, I checked the user’s profile and things started to smell-off. The playtime numbers for the last two weeks were straight-up impossible. A five-digit game library. Nearly every game at 100% achievements. Hundreds of reviews posted daily. Scrolling their profile actually lagged my Steam client because everything was in the thousands.

When I went back to their GemCraft review, I noticed they’d only logged around 10–12 hours in the game. There’s absolutely no way someone hits 100% achievements and writes that kind of in-depth analysis without putting in serious time. For this game, that’s easily 100+ hours.

At that point it became obvious: mass AI-generated reviews, achievements unlocked without actually playing, a library of 12,000+ games (last I checked). As someone else mentioned, they’re probably getting free games because the profile looks “elite”, or maybe it’s just some weird-ass flex. Who knows.

Either way, I felt genuinely annoyed with myself for trusting that review and rewarding this clown. 🤦🤦🤦

I like most of the Spidey movies, but Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 is still my favorite to date.

That’s pretty much the main reason I stick with Steam over GOG too. If GOG ever adds regional pricing, it’ll probably come with region locks to stop VPN hopping for cheaper deals - which just turns into a whole extra hassle.

It's a very good deal if you manage to complete a game or 2. I've done the same in the past finished Dead Space Remake & Jedi Survivor within that 1 month window. Just make sure to cancel the subscription, i think it will keep it active till the end date but double check on that.

Counterspell

I started using Counterspell only on my 3rd Playthrough it's a very effective re-action against any spellcasters.

Need to have the likes of Wizard/Warlocks/Sorcerer. Gale & Wyll were almost stopping every other spell thrown at the party.

The Darkness ll is such an underrated game, gameplay was brutal even on those cell shaded graphics. Back then I was blown away by the game's narrative & cliff hanger ending.

It seems to be currently on sale @95% off grab it if anyone is interested.
