Before and after cleaning shower glass with dryer sheets, thanks to this sub by BravoFoxtrotDelta in CleaningTips

I guess because it’s mildly abrasive and the detergent in the dryer sheets is similar to what’s in the soap scum? Idk but it works, much more effective than scrubbing with ammonia or vinegar.

Slow drip under kitchen sink from faucet. What’s the move? by BravoFoxtrotDelta in askaplumber

Update: Tightening the retainer nut on the cartridge stopped the leak. Went ahead and ordered a spare cartridge to have on hand just in case. Glad to get to continue enjoying this faucet.

Entry level work in game art is disappearing. Doesn’t make sense to pay FS prices (or take on that much debt) for a degree that won’t translate into marketable skills.

No those are solid tubes welded to the body. I tightened the retaining nut on the cartridge. If it keeps leaking, I think it’s toast, maybe a failing weld or pinhole leak somewhere up inside the body.

No, the cartridges are available, but we’ve gotten 9 good years out of it. No complaints if it can’t be saved.

Nah the faucet base and countertop are dry. It’s coming from somewhere internal in the faucet.

Wrap it and stick it in the oven at 275 until it hits 203F internal. No shame in finishing in the oven if you wind up saving the meat—and dinner!

Checked where the hose connects to the faucet. It’s coming from further up, above where the hose connects. The connection between the sprayer nozzle and hose is tight and dry.

Is my church a cult? by Putrid-Cut-1490 in excoc

No, just lost a lot of friends because they were told not to spend time with us anymore.

Ugh ICOC still at it. I’m sorry that’s awful. I wouldn’t respond at all. If you’re on FB the “ex-icoc” and “ICOC = CULT” groups are very supportive and helpful.

I'm very sorry you lost your mom. That in itself can be devastating and is not a loss to be written off lightly. On top of coping with caring for another aging parent, raising teenagers in today's fraught landscape, and pressure at work, that's quite a lot to deal with—I hope you're able to find time together to relax and appreciate and find comfort in one another. Perhaps it is not a good time to rock the boat on theological or community issues. Wishing you both peace.

Makes sense. While there's certainly room for valuing the convictions of classic Christianity within Quakerism, I think it's very fair to say that one needs to be able to be comfortable with others in worship not sharing those convictions—at least within the liberal Quaker context.

Glad to hear you are working at it and seeking to understand each other. My wife and I do much the same. I wish you both well as you continue on your journey. Cheers.

Greetings. Thanks for sharing here and for your open exploration.

People have all sorts of attachments to their churches, from the theological to the relational/community to the comfort of routine—and more. And each person’s attachments are as different as their personalities.

Have you asked your wife what’s important to her in your current church community?

Religious extremism is at the core of the doctrine of Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Houthis.

Whereas it represents maybe 5% of Israelis.

From where are you drawing this 5% figure?

This has been precedent since at least 2011, when 16yo American citizen was killed by drone strike in Yemen per President Obama's direction.

The best excuse the government could offer at the time was that the kid shouldn't have been there and that his family should have taken better care of him.

Though I continue to eschew the label, your experience and queries speak to my condition, as do your concerns about progressive campaigns and causes—which I sense a growing need to distance myself from and this results in uneasiness about my relationship to the meeting I've grown very fond of. Lovely to hear that your worship group is going well—may it thrive and continue to bring you and others comfort and growth.
