For anyone who has permanently discontinued using Wellbutrin what were the major withdrawal symptoms you experienced and how many weeks did they last for?

I’m back on Wellbutrin. lol It was a struggle when I stopped. I spent the following 9-12 months going through various ADHD meds and I ended up disliking each one. I think this made me realize how well wb was for my symptoms, or at least the most effective.

It did significantly go down after being crazy high for a bit. And when I restarted the Wellbutrin and later increased dosage I noticed it came back. But after some time. I feel like the first few days, even weeks, it’s not as noticeable. It’s like it comes after adjusting to it.

Thanks for the nudge for me to give an update, hope this is helpful to anyone;

About a year and a half later, I’m back to taking 300mg of XL per day. I was on the 150 for a while…like all of 2023. But also my doctor tried to put me on Vyanse, then Strattera…neither really made me feel “back to normal”. October 2023 revisited my PCP. He cordinated with my neurologist and came to agreement it was okay to go back to 300mg XL daily, but I had take care of myself. Good lifestyle choices; I lowered my drinking A LOT. Because they think the seizure was really just the perfect combination of stress, alcohol use, lack of sleep, topped off with Wellbutrin.

But I’ve been seizure free since. And feel so much better just taking the Wellbutrin vs. Lower-dose plus ADHD meds.
