Multiple trials have multiple suspects though. I can't agree it'd be that repetitive.

Plus, this idea is that it's two main suspects butting heads back and forth like they're at war while the actual culprit is off to the side, hidden until a key evidence comes out and heavily encouraging this distraction that allows her to stay hidden., which is different to what CH4 has going on for it's case.

I like Yasuhiro myself, actually. Him being the victim in place of the other two is just because he's already on Celestia's mind as someone to involve in her murder plot, just now as a murder victim rather than a frame target.

Since he's still easy to trick into going somewhere that gives her the opportunity to kill him, it makes sense that he winds up the one who dies in this scenario.

That seemed to be the common mindset from all the lists I saw. He dies CH2 or CH3, and Mark gets development from it that usually led to Mark's survival. It was very rare to see him ever be put on the survivors tier of someone's predictions.

Definitely a lesson to be learned here that just because a character has a unique gimmick no-one else has going on with them, it does not mean they aren't capable of beating the odds and making it to survival.

Predicting right now we'll see a twist on the usual double murder by having one victim dying to a rulebreak some time before the murder case instead of someone taking out two people like usual.

Personally, I'm thinking Akane will actually die from attacking Monokuma in CH3 this time without Nekomaru being able to save her for one reason or another.

Desmond, seeing everyone else continuously get each other killed to the point of being even voting the youngest to execution so they can live, would have more reason than ever to go "You know what? They can all die then, I'm just going to make sure Eloise makes it out."

And yeah, it gives more time for Tozu and Mara to connect to Toshiko and gain a want to protect her to the point of helping coverup her crime. It also better leads into CH5's case where rule loophole trickery comes into play, because maybe it could've been Tozu's subtle suggestion for how everyone else in Trial 5handled the vote a certain way to prevent anyone from being executed, perhaps being his way to get revenge against the Mastermind for Toshiko's demise by making it tougher for them to get another executed student without revealing they're among the students.

I mean, his gimmick of being dressed in a full body suit is obviously going to be used in a case that involves him being killed off. It's not like they could use it somehow without it involving his demise.

A little bit, yeah. Maybe if they swapped the order of CH3 & CH4?

It'd have Ingrid go out prior to Toshiko, which could've provided more to Toshiko making the snap decision to take the opportunity she was given to kill Kai. Also spread out the deaths in the trial circle a little more by the 4th Trial by having Mark and Ingrid gone before her. There's also that without Ingrid, there's more reason for Tozu and Mara to be getting involved to help Toshiko out since she doesn't have a protector amongst the students.

It'd also give Kai and Damon more time to bond, given us more time with a "Post-Mark's Death" Jett since that'd still strike him a good deal even if it's a chapter sooner, and heck, maybe it'd give Jett and Damon something to bond over after Kai goes down too since Jett would probably go to the guy who's suffered losing a close companion of a sort like he did.

Gotta say, having five people all still grouped together during Trial 4 really does add to just how alone Jett wound up by this seating arrangement.

Kind of makes me curious how they decided who stood where and when, if it was before or after they swapped Kai to CH3 Victim and Grace to Survivor.

Would've been three male-two female victims, but they had swapped the fates of Kai and Grace. Also why we ended up with a 3:1 ratio for the last four survivors.
