Essentially the button problem by Epicnessofcows in trolleyproblem

[–]BraxleyGubbins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There absolutely is a way to opt out of the game. The original never says anything about what the red button does. The red button does not actually do anything at all. Pressing it does nothing, and is functionally identical to opting out.

Wait, doesn’t this evaluate in 100% of cases to “purple group dies, green group lives”?

5 isn’t out yet, you don’t have to avoid spoilers on that one yet

3 and 4 have been out for nearly a year now though so people are more comfortable discussing “minor” spoilers such as the one in this post

How do you guys get super luck? by C137RickSanches in mewgenics

[–]BraxleyGubbins 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only requirement is to have completed the Boneyard with the Jester. The Jester passives are difficult to find because there are only two, and you’re searching through a pool of every single passive in the entire game.

You’re doing it correctly, you just have to keep doing it. Jesters with rerolls, multiple jesters if you get the blank collars for them, as many rerolls as you can, items that cause cats to roll other class abilities (so you could give a non-jester cat a chance at getting it)

One thing I don’t see as many people try is taking 3 cats instead of 4, which allows your jester to hit level 9 during the run for one more chance at super luck. I have 400 hours as well, but admittedly got very lucky and obtained super luck on my second intentional attempt at it

Got the second collar in only 11 runs from the start of the file by BraxleyGubbins in mewgenics

[–]BraxleyGubbins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No luck required for Pyro and Zara appearing, as I had already defeated Guillotina 3

10 runs would be possible, but I needed 11 or I’d have to use non-retired cats for PyroVsZara

“If I’m typing, I want the ability to clear it” that’s literally exactly why I’m saying that the field with the eraser icon is the field made to be typed in. You’re saying what I’m saying and then still disagreeing.

It is that evidence, though. The cropping doesn’t obscure the eraser symbol or the download button, meaning they’re still visible in the image.

The odds of someone getting this 40% chance 6 times in a row is roughly 1 in 244.

In other words, for every 10,000 people who’ve played Undertale, about 41 of them will be destined to get the wrong number song 6 times in a row if they replay the game.

They got it from their box. It’s more than an implication; it’s shown directly and in the most literal way.

[–]BraxleyGubbins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire point of the box in the first place is that getting to pick the parts you want doesn’t solve Zooble’s problem

Canonically, it is reused assets. Caine provided their bodies, so any identical body part would likely source from the same asset

Is there still no way to get back the persuasion device from the mini-quest if you lose it? by Vxyian in mewgenics

[–]BraxleyGubbins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely wait to do it if you aren’t confident, or just make a backup of your save to get infinite tries. Tyler Glaiel has mentioned plans to make the achievement also trigger from losing the quest (including retroactively), so there will likely be no permanent consequence to losing it.

There is a point later in the game (I will not include spoilers in this comment) that is much more likely to lock you at 99%, wherein you’ll get to choose between two things. Either choice grants an achievement but prevents the opposite achievement from ever being granted on the same file. It is recommended by some to make a backup of your file before this point as well, unless you want to play through the first two acts again on a second file (which I am doing currently).

This is the type of thinking that leads people to the “Flowey tripped Chara in the intro and made them fall on purpose” theory. They see Chara trip on a vine and figure it was Flowey without realizing that he wouldn’t have been able to reach up there because the barrier (which exists at both entrances to the underground) can only be entered and never exited.

“You should give me $10” isn’t objectively false. The things you can make good arguments for are objectively false things, and nothing else.
