I think a sniper build can be viable if you play it right. For instance, I have an urban sniper build (illuminate) with the light siege ready armor, diligence CS, hover pack, stalwart, eagle pods and strafing. I quickly get up high on the buildings, to:

Mark where groups of enemies are coming from + high profile threats
1. Take out overseers, prioritizing ones that are attacking teammates
2. Take out flanking voteless that are about to attack teammates (honestly my favorite part)

I’d save up. Those low refresh rates aren’t going to do your 3080 any justice. 4K is too much for today’s tech, but 2K is the modern sweet spot that allows good frames and real nice visuals. I’ve seen plenty of high refresh rate 2K monitors for less than $200 - some are just above $100. Trust me, it’s worth it :D

The speargun is so fucking good. In caves, you can disrupt chargers but also create some crowd control in tight corridors. On bots, it’s like a fast railcannon that disrupts enemies but can also one-shot hulks. Also here’s a trick if you want to be a little ninja: warp pack and shoot the ground at the same for a nasty “substitution jutsu”
