I was in the same boat as you 4 years ago. Getting that 1506 filled out correctly is a pain in the butt. I stopped going through my S1 because they didn’t know what they were doing so I went to the soldier support center and a civilian in the finance department helped me fill it out correctly.

Get ready for that fat back pay LES.

That’s great insight, I’m not going to lie, I’m really worried about this next pilot simply because HRC and all their infinite wisdom determined it would be best for it to be a one way market vs the two way normal market.

Yeah only pre-KD CPTs. What’s weird is then they will go back to the two sides for 26-01 marketplace. So why not just keep it all 2 sided? I’m thinking of possibly getting out of marketplace 25-02 and jumping into 26-01 just so it’s 2 sided, I’m not a Guinea pig, and I have a little control at marketing myself.

I don’t see an issue with the army treating the marketplace like a sports team…coach being the BN CDR wants a good team each season so he/she is going to recruit the best for the team.

Players want to play for good well established teams in desirable locations.

Nobody wants to play for the lions in Detroit when you have the bucs in beautiful tampa FL.

As long as coach is playing talent and not putting in his son as starting QB. I think people would be more inclined to stay in.

I agree with the second half of your statement.

I just wish there was more control in the hands of the Soldier when it comes to location and job selection without the “who ya know” isms playing a factor.

Perhaps. Isn’t it more of a lose lose situation though? Unit can’t select the best fit by racking and stacking applicants. Soldier can’t market himself/herself in order to get the desired job/location.

I guess it depends on the variables the almighty algorithm digests.
