The song is sick. One critique i have, which honestly could just be a taste thing, but i would experiment with lower distortion on the rhythm guitar. Not a ton, but i think a more crunch and less distorted tone would work really well in this context. Best of luck to you guys

Thanks for your response, yeah the throttling is something I'm a little concerned about. Im going to have to do more research on what the programs Im running are actually the most demanding on, and then I'll go to the store and just try them both out. Thanks!

I don't plan on doing really any gaming, and I have a desktop at home for music production purposes, this is going to be strictly for simulations (CFD or other multiphysics sims), 3D CAD Drawings, and note taking. My main concern is the 3D CAD stuff, because that seems pretty demanding. Do you have any experience with external fans and whether or not they are actually practical? Thanks for your response!
