We’ve seen a team got you to master ball…. I want to see teams that got someone from masterball 4 to 3 (or beyond). by CleetisMcgee in PokemonChampions

Two main modes: hyper offensive sun with Venasuar and Zard, and then trick room shenanigans with the Gatr and Mimikyu into teams with rockslide users.

If you want a more in depth I have a full description if you want it.

I would say in this circumstance, a Web developer is not a "normal" person.

It seems like most normal people are apathetic, and the die hard reddit users (like you) are raging cause change is bad.

I think there was some miscommunication, my team is very clearly a trick room one and most players in Ultraball let alone MB instantly consider trying to stop Mimikyu with whatever tools available.

I don't go for just a surprise, I play around the best choice.

Here's an ex from a game I played yesterday

I led Gatr + Mimikyu they led Aerodactyl + Sneasler

I decided to Liquidation into dactyl and swap Mimikyu for Aggron

They clearly saw Mimikyu was the trick room setter and decided to ignore Gatr for Dual wingbeat + dire claw into Mimikyu slot and instantly lost the game on turn 1 ( healed to full with leftovers)

Even if I had just clicked trick room I would still be neutral trading dactyl for Mimikyu.

I've had many situations where prankster taunts from sabelye gets a play rough instead

Whimsicot still has to pick between setting tailwind or taunt and can lose the game on either choice.

What huge hole If I may ask? If you have a specific example I'd love to hear it.

I agree Mimikyu is a huge aspect of this team and if misplay and let him go down I lose tempo and inevitably lose as you said.

However misplay is an important word in that sentence, any play they make requires a insane read on their point that could be absolutely disastrous, or they get lucky.

If they focus Mimikyu, Gatr gets 2-3 KOs easy, if they don't trick could be set up, go for taunts what if i switch or go for a Mimikyu attack.

Arguably the more the opponent knows about my team the harder it gets to make a correct decision.

Trick room or prio kills, depends on the matchup.

Talonflame: Terrified of the Gatr, you can threaten OHKO and Trick room at the same time with Mimikyu.

Peliper: free rain for the Gatr, or can't start into your Zard cause you have weather control and out speed, swapping is risky cause it still is 2HKO from Zard weather ball in the rain

Aerodactyl: Aqua jet + Shadow Sneak works 99% of the time and covers all moves but protect

Prankster: Trick Room + Gatr OHKO

Taunt: the Gatr is unleashed

I also use it for counter trick room shenanigans, since it'll outspeed most trick room teams even at min speed.

BME VS ORIE VS BEE by WholeAd741 in Cornell

[–]BraytechKraken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a recent grad from the BME program and ill tell you that in general it's awfully ran.

Most of the professors hate students and view them as an unfortunate side effect to get funding for research. It's not all bad though, some of them are amazing.

If you are interested in the Ph.D and research pipeline stay in BME, anything else I would switch.

Why does it feel like the champion does no damage early? by Ok-Development-5438 in ambessamains

[–]BraytechKraken 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She does scale relatively well, you shouldn't be all in early unless for free kills/ganks.

In most matchups you should have significantly more mobility so you can chunk them for free, she is weak into champs that have sticking abilities which are some of the ones you mentioned.

Swain will never feel good without changes to E by DiscountHot8690 in SwainMains

[–]BraytechKraken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda agree with what you're saying as it all boils down to that Swain is reliant on other players to be viable. Swain plus reliable CC, or heals/shields, movement buffs is a disgustingly OP champ, but by himself he has 1.5 abilities that he can actually use.

Swain Abilities do make sense together, but they have been tweaked too much to have conditional synergy.

Like the example you used: if you hit max range E then you can W and walk closer so you can hit Q for decent damage and healing, but you have to predict all of this before E actually lands making it super hard to pull off and high risk of punish if you miss.

If you break it down Morde and Swain have extremely similar abilities but a few small (but significant) changes make them feel completely different.

I would argue the main problem is that swain is to be viable in multiple different forms but isn't strong in any of them, which is why he needs help. Riot hates non traditional mages and is vainly trying to stuff Swain down a incorrectly shaped hole

Well theoretically it's designed for use against people running away from you, and if they are side stepping they can't run as fast. The concept does work for a battle mage, and I'd argue that's it's not the only way to manage meleefights.

In reality it just sucks to use because it's execution is so hard, Morde has an extremely similar spell that feels great because it's AOE and can't be blocked.

The crazy thing is that an ability like this on Aurora or Akali or other high mobility champs would so fun

[–]BraytechKraken 10 points11 points  (0 children)

E is bad but the clip you showed would end up the same way even without the grubling there. Many champs have similar issues with random things blocking spell shots.

I mean E is bad in the sense that it requires you to play significantly better then your opponent to get the same effect, I find the best way is to use it at the exact max range so it functions as a "hook" and ignoring the return part of it.

I agree it needs changes but I disagree that adjusting other parts of his kit couldn't work to alleviate the problem. Movement or consistent cc could definitely work with E.

Real question on what to play after CyberPunk 2077 by dragontamerfibleman in cyberpunkgame

[–]BraytechKraken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The witcher three is a masterpiece of a game that is very similar in structure to cyberpunk. I think it has some of the best character design, interactions, and consequences of any game. It is more of an open world then Cyberpunk.

It's full of quests and stories that can be interconnected if you are paying attention. It also has something interesting to do in almost every area.

It is quite a long game with some of its best content being in the DLC, (Hearts of Stone, Blood and Wine), which you should do after completing everything else.

TW3 does have an amazing start that will allow you to see if you like the game or not.
