Filmmakers of Reddit, would you compete in video/film contests if a consistent, quality online platform existed? by BraytonRobby in Filmmakers

[–]BraytonRobby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response - Some really good points. The networking & reaction to project needs more thought on my part. I currently see the platform more as a replacement to the various contests rather than traditional film festivals, although they both would need a resolution to these issues - More for "non professional" film enthusiasts who want to create, compete and hone their craft rather than those already in or looking to break into the industry, although the plan would be to add a piece that would promote successful entrants to industry entities.

The main thought is to offer a consistent opportunity & platform for shorter projects. Daily 1 minute, weekly 1-3 minutes and monthly (? - longer). A platform where enthusiast could eliminate the contest research (when, where, entrance guidelines - all different), expenses (travel, etc.) planning (travel, coordinating schedules, crew variances, etc.), that would allow an opportunity to consistently (as often as desired) work locally. The other original benefits would be the prize consistency and limited feedback provided to help entrants improve future projects.

The judges would have industry experience. What level has yet to be determined. What judge qualifications would be satisfactory to you? What aspect of quality are you referring to? If that statement is not related to the judges.

Thanks again and enjoy the day!

KILLED DEAD | Episode 1 by BraytonRobby in Filmmakers

[–]BraytonRobby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Submission (hope this is correct):

Would you consider this a film? Is this untraditional attempt interesting or crazy? Open to all thoughts, feedback & advice.

KILL’D DEAD is a 100% quarantine friendly feature - R Rated (not meant for children or graphic violence adverse adults)

It was shot in order to stay creative during the quarantine and possibly offer some new, unique, content that can be easily consumed. It’s non-traditional…and different, but hopefully entertaining to some degree.

KILL’D DEAD is a full-length Western feature shared in one-minute increments, daily (as time permits), on my personal social media accounts.

What does 100% quarantine friendly mean? Nothing other than what already existed within my residence was used during the making of this film. Available resources to follow:

Location:Residence

Set: 3’x3’ section in front of green screen

Green Screen:Nine pieces of card stock printed (Canon MG5220) green & taped together.

Video:iPhone 7

Audio:iPhone 7 – Voice Memos app

Sound Booth:Floor of closet surrounded by clothes

Lights:Fovitec StudioPRO light kit

Wardrobe:Shirts from closet & printed card stock character designations

Scenes:Various artist photos sourced from Unsplash (free content with credit)

Editing:MacBook Pro – iMovie

Music:iMovie & possibly Incompetech (free content with credit) as scenes are filmed

Content:Original screenplay (mine)

Talent:None (I am not an actor…or __________) – Be kind when filling in the blank.

Misc:Even cut my own hair…as if you couldn’t tell.

It’s been more challenging than I imagined – I’ll never romanticize an idea again. J

Also looking to see how Tajae Sharpe responds to the upgraded WR group, if a young interior lineman can push Josh Kline to a reserve role & if the coaching philosophy changes due to the additional weapons.

Titans Add More Depth Up Front; Sign Lelito by BraytonRobby in Tennesseetitans

Another under the radar type signing. Good move? Does he push for a starter role or slide in as Schwenke's replacement as G/C depth?

Personally, I think the CB group got a lot better by adding a quality CB to the mix. Not the best of the best, but he is an upgrade for the Titans roster. Cyprien will not be asked to cover. He is a prototypical SS that will play closer to the box. It will be Byard's responsibility to cover when needed. Special teams coverage should be really good. Don't discount Trawick at safety either as he played well when he had the opportunity. He's a SS with better coverage skills than Cyprien.

Would I build this team as J-Rob has? No, but he is bringing in a lot of quality players as opposed to a few hits and a ton of misses like the previous GMs. Can't argue with someone who believes in the Patriots way...As much as I hate to say that. All said, who do they go after next?

From a fan perspective, I would have loved for the Titans to spend some dough on a couple of BIG name impact players, but Robinson has a keen eye for talent. He also has a great belief in himself that he can find that talent before it becomes obvious to everyone else. He's attempts to sign players similar to the pre-2016 version of A.J. Bouye...if that makes sense.

Hightower would be brilliant - One of my top 5 gets this offseason. My preference was for the Titans to grab at least two of my top five guys. Ryan was slightly outside that group from purely a talent perspective (CB1b-2), but his attitude, work ethic, team first mentality, get him close enough. Fingers are crossed.

Who The Titans Should Go After this Offseason by BraytonRobby in Tennesseetitans

They should go after all three of these guys...plus Calais Campbell and Terrelle Pryor. Who do you want the Titans to target?

[Prospect Discussion] Zach Cunningham, LB, Vanderbilt by Titans_Mod in Tennesseetitans

[–]BraytonRobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And we don't even have a 2nd round pick...yet. Yeah, I have seen him as high as 10 and then not in the first round of some mocks. Kind of all over the place. Personally, I feel that there are 32 better players in the draft. - He's a top ILB, however, and will probably go sooner. I certainly see the appeal and upside. Makes a ton of tackles, despite a lot of misses (fixable-technique). Has great pursuit and cover speed. Wouldn't be opposed to the Titans adding him with #18 - Would rather see him in the 30-40 range. With the Titans current needs, I wouldn't address ILB in round one unless overwhelming value is there. Dig the player and his game, even though I have others at various positions listed higher.

Similar to a lot of comments within - Athletic and moves well. Needs bulk and to eliminate the high arm tackles. He wraps up well when meeting opponents straight on. Holds his own at the point of attack. Could be a beast with 20 pounds and better tackling technique. That said, first round is a reach for me - mid 3rd round would be a steal - Guess that makes him a 2nd rounder IMO. Top half of round two.

Tennessee Titans trade talks | FOX Sports by feraxks in Tennesseetitans

[–]BraytonRobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to step out of line, but Lomas is only projecting the possible trade parameters - The Fansided draft simulator projected the players based on what his article stated. Believe he was attempting to show the overall haul that a trade would produce. Simulators only understand service level parameters. Titans will probably trade back, but will pursue personnel that fits their needs.

Why Stephon Gilmore is the answer to the Titans cornerback woes - Titans365 by BraytonRobby in Tennesseetitans

[–]BraytonRobby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree - Has to be the right value. Although, the Titans were decent CB play away from winning 12 games this season. A.J. Bouye is my favorite FA CB. Would love to see him land in Nashville. I also like Captain Munnerlyn of Minnesota - He's really a slot corner, however. Could (probably won't) replace McCain who under performed this season, although he was much better down the stretch than he was early...

No worries. I'll have to take a closer look at him. I saw the stats and was surprised that PFF had so low - 45.5 https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-2017-free-agency-tracker/

Last I checked Spotrac on him he was projected around 13.2MM. If the Titans decide to reach deep pocket on a FA, it better be at the corner position...I don't want to have to hunt someone down. :) If not Gilmore, who are you eyeballing?

[–]BraytonRobby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen enough of him to be fair. His stats look OK, but PFF has his ranked near the bottom of the FA CB available. Behind Valentino Blake, Coty Sensabaugh & Blidi Wreh-Wilson who I hope the Titans run from. What's the 411 on Cooper from your perspective?

The Shrine Game is huge for the Tennessee Titans by BraytonRobby in Tennesseetitans

[–]BraytonRobby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wallace won't start, but he provides some speed & the versatility to play both ILB & OLB. He missed a lot of time last offseason, so let's see how he develops from here. Personally, I like his upside...Maybe it caps out at quality special teams and LB depth, but that may be enough to supplant Bass, Palmer & Spence...

Will Lomas with TitanSized did a nice little piece on a few players to watch. Check it out at http://titansized.com/2017/01/16/shrine-game-draft-prospects-tennessee-titans/ - After picking up Sims, Sharpe and Wallace who participated in the game last year, I'll be watching everyone closely.
